Superb for the money. Have gotten me out of several difficult situations on busy building sites. Have used for loft entry, external roof access, attaching security fittings - they're suitable for all that, being lightweight helps too.Negatives are the rubber feet come off far too easily and have had to glue them back on several times - although bear in mind I'm using them for site work, whereas most people will probably keep them in a closet at home for easy lot access. The other negative is the 'folding down' which involves using both thumbs to simultaneously push both locks either side of each individual step outwards, causing the steps above to slide into itself - the more steps that are folding down, the heavier it gets. The heavier it gets the faster it falls and therein lies the danger. It's easy to accidentally have a thumb on the rung as it comes crashing down, and although the overall weight is quite light for a 4m ladder, it would be enough to break a thumb if caught on a low enough rung.So to conclude: they're handy, suitable for site and robust. Just be careful and pay attention when folding down.

Has come in very handy

Great product. Comes with handy carry case which is useful for transporting in the car. Sturdy construction and easy to deploy. I bought this in order to give access to a loft space from a bathroom where there isn't enough room to set up a step ladder or get a fixed ladder of the right length into the space. So this is the perfect solution. The 3.8 metre length is impressive. Instructions came in French but Sotech were able to provide instructions in English on request. My only criticism is that the sections drop rather heavily when the catches are released. Both hands are needed to release the catches so it's not easy to hold the ladder sections at the same time. I manage to slow the drop down by pressing my index fingers against the tubular sides but this is not ideal. This is why I haven't award 5 stars. However, that said the release mechanism is designed so you don't trap you fingers as the sections fall.

I wanted a compact and sturdy ladder as I have limited space to store things in my house. This is much more expensive than a normal ladder but in my opinion is worth every penny. At no point did I feel it was unsafe to be on the ladder and I am not good with heights.It comes with instructions and does take time to get used to as you have to bit by bit pull out and lock which might take time but is needed to ensure each section is locked out and safe. You must be careful with your fingers not getting trapped so do not do this is a rush. However, it is perfect for small spaces as it is flat and easily slides into a cupboard.

I have used these 3 times now and I have to say I have never felt so uncomfortable on a set of ladders in my life. It might be that all telescopic ladders are the same, but I can only comment on these, as they are the only one's I've tried.They seem to flex in the middle when you go up, but also seem to move side to side when in use, and whilst i didn't feel completely unsafe, i did not feel comfortable either.The other issue I have is that they are really difficult to collapse back down, as they get stuck and I find that I'm having to force them down one by one. The last time I used them I noticed that the inner casing was also lifting out as i extended the ladders, so not impressed with the build quality. Not sure if I would risk using them fully extended anymore, so they might end up being a really expensive pair of step ladders

Great collapsible ladders , easy to store away especially if you do t have a lot of space to store things , they are a little heavy and you need to watch your fingers are not in the way other wise you will tap them , but for the price they are a good quality

Great little ladder to have around the house. I would have liked it to have been a little taller but the issue is the taller it gets the most unstable it can be as the rungs get smaller and smaller. For most household jobs, this is perfect! Don't be fooled by cheaper ones that are not safety rated. This is a solid ladder and has redundant safety points so it will not go all the way down on you in case of a failure of one part. Carrying bag is handy as well.

We dont have a lot of space in the house so though these would be a great idea for washing windows doing painting etc. Now dont get me wrong they do what they are meant to do and work as they should. For me I find that trying to do the windows isn't something i can do as they feel flimsy the higher i go. Maybe I could do with slightly longer ones or I'm not as brave as I think when it comes to heights.Great size and easy to store think I just need to get braver.
