Superb monitor, excellent value.
tl;dr An amazing screen for design work. No light beed. Accurate colours. I actually prefer it to the iMac retina screen. Required some fiddling to get it working perfectly with my 2015 MacBook Pro but that's not the screen's fault.I'm a designer and I bought this as a long-overdue replacement for an old Apple Cinema Display that never really worked 100%. I was torn between the very expensive 5k LG display in the Apple store and a more reasonable 4k screen. After reading the reviews for the LG 5k ultrafine it seems that it has all the same reliability issues as the old Cinema Display so I decided to go for a 4k.I chose the BenQ BL2711U because it's optimised for CAD / CAM and graphics use whereas the LG and Samsung of a similar price seem to be focussed on the gaming market. So far I'm really pleased with it and so glad I didn't spend a fortune on the LG ultrafine! The colours are great, the blacks are super deep with no light bleed or dead pixels. The 4k resolution is a pleasure to look at all day, 4k video looks fantastic and working on large layouts is just so much nicer. The matt finish is great and I much prefer it to the gloss Mac screens.I did have to make some adjustments to get it working perfectly with my early 2015 Macbook Pro Retina but that's not really the screen's fault. When I first plugged it in with the HDMI cable I was limited to 30hz refresh rate which caused mouse lag and juddering so if you're having the same problem here's how I fixed it...Firstly I had to get a mini displayport to displayport cable - I got this one http://amzn.eu/d/gLIDYF4Secondly I used Pixel Clock Patcher v2 to enable the 60hz refresh rate at 4k resolution. You can find this on GitHub but do a bit of googling first to check if your Mac supports 60hz at 4k etc. You might also need the SwitchResX app to get full control of the screen settings but mine worked with just the patch.Thirdly I played with the colour settings and calibration and turned off the blue light reduction. I've currently got it set to the "BenQ LCD" profile in System preferences and the screen itself is set to "user" as the M-book setting didn't feel quite as accurate.I really like the plain and simple design of this screen. The only thing I'm not super keen on is the stand but I'll replace it with an adjustable stand using the VESA mount.Overall I'm really happy with it and I think the quality is fantastic for the price.

4K 10Bit, lovely image and super clear.
Did my research and this Benq came up tops. I do Video editing for wedding and commercial work as well as photo editing. I wanted to get a better quality image and more real estate too, so going to 4k resolution and 10bit did the trick. I have it connected via a Quadra 2200, so the speed and colour are now magnificent from my PC. It does a superb job of upscaling and artefact adjustment too to make lower resolution stuff nicer (i.e. 1080 video upscaled!).Some say its a little 'dull' when say compared to the Sammy etal, but hey, its a business purchase for business use, it looks good, no shiny or coloured details, but simple clean black looks and well built too.

Two faulty monitors, so had to return.
First for the good parts: if you get a good batch of this monitor it's fantastic, with great colour reproduction, brilliant screen quality, and I loved the height adjustable stand. Great connectors and overall a fab monitor. For the bad parts (unfortunately, most of my own experience): Not ideal for gaming, because the lag was REAL. It also took a LONG time to get the colours calibrated and set up accurately, but once that was done it was great. But more than that, the first monitor I had was delivered with a dead pixel. Amazon were great and swapped it for a new one, which appeared near perfect...until a few days after delivery when the whole screen glitched out. I thought it might have been a graphics card issue, or other computer issues, but my secondary monitor (I had dual monitor setup) was absolutely fine. This continued happening, and one day it wouldn't sort itself out at all, so I ended up deciding to return the monitor and not bother getting a new one to try third time lucky. It's a shame because it was a great monitor, until it decided not to work...I'm not sure if I got monitors from some sort of faulty batch, but it wasn't worth the hassle for me at all. I ended up getting one 32" 2K HP monitor instead, that has been *fantastic* and has even better colour calibration than this BenQ.

Best Monitor I Have Owned !!!!!
Purchased this monitor to go with my new £3000 pc I had built for video editing, picture is stunning, I love the built in presets for the task you are doing such as video, photo, cad etc. To tweak the monitor settings is easy as the menus are so easy to select, you just touch the bottom right of the monitor and the menu spears but also the touch buttons light up which makes selection much easier. There are plenty of options for you to alter, picture, sound, input etc. You can have picture in picture or two pictures side by side from different inputs. The sound quality is ok and has decent volume, but I use the sound from my pic via a surround sound system as I want to hear the best quality while editing my videos. The monitor has good adjustments in height and can be turned into portrate mode very easily, and it has a cable management system to keep the cables in the back of the monitor looking neat.To sum up if you cannot afford £1000 plus for a monitor and are into video or photo editing or cad work this monitor is ideal, it is also very good for gaming but you will need a powerful pc to run games at the full resolution.

Excellent monitor and superb service
The monitor is very flexible and can adapt to any height and angle. The image is crisp and detailed. It is a professional tool very useful for those who work long hours: it soothes the eyes. The Steal_Deals service is most help fun. A first monitor was sent to me with a slight defect. It was replaced on the spot. You can trust this vendor!

Build quality, looks and performance
Bought this for the wife and didn’t disappoint. No dead pixels, resolution is excellent, everything looks so much more vibrant. Colour representation is excellent. Great build quality too. Highly recommended.

Good quality, good size, good performance, good features. I'm very happy with it.
It's an excellent monitor. The price was right and the features fit my needs. I use it for photo editing. Getting this set up properly took some work and some experimenting. I attribute this patially to instructions that are no better than so-so. Partially, the challenging set up because of my lack of familiarity with so many of the advanced parameters. Paired this with a very good new, powerful video card from EVGA. The combination of the new card with this excellent monitor ultimately gave me a really beautiful set up that I enjoy working with. I can't compare it to the scads of other great new stuff on the market but this works well for me. I am an old school film photographer continuously learning my way.Oh, the size is just right for me. I considered the next bigger size up but that seemed like overkill. I think I made the right choice. I use my old 22" CRT monitor as screen #2.
