Are these the best guitar deal on Amazon?
Incredible tone. Easy to install. I put these on an $200 LP style guitar. They have completely transformed it into a versatile instrument, great cleans and the overdrive is outstanding. It sounds almost as good as some of my $1000+ guitars. I highly recommend these pickups, just ordered a set of the alnico 2 for another project guitar. Great value.

Incredible value
I bought a FLEOR humbucker for a strat on a whim , figured for $12 it was worth a shot. Pleasantly surprised and as more and more time goes on, I am consistently impressed at the sound on that one.So I thought it was time to try another on my old Squier 51. It's a funny little guitar with a great neck and coil splitting . I always liked the stock humbucker's sustain and output but the tone has been lacking lately since I've upgraded and acquired more guitars. Saw the rave reviews for this one and figured I'd give it a shot. I'm no expert but the alnico 5 is considered the real deal and top of the line, so for the price I was very willing to try it out .Pretty easy replacement in this particular guitar if I didn't like it....that won't be an issue. This pickup is awesome. Its very high output which I needed for the coil splitting. My meter said 16k and a full 8k in single coil mode. But most importantly the tone is phenomenal. Tons of sustain, good balance , and the coil split sounds a lot more convincing than before. Really impressed with this one , and it looks great too!! Makes me consider replacing other perfectly good pickups because these are just so good. Of course, the style on these and high output means it won't shimmer like a vintage strat pickup , and you have to roll down the volume quite a bit to clean up, but it's a very versatile and impressive tone none the less.Great complement to go along with the lower output fleor bridge humbucker in my other guitar , this one is a no brainer upgrade for your cheap to mid-level guitar.

I mean, they’re $30 . . . And sound pretty good
It’s really incredible what you can get for $30 these days. Installed a zebra set into one of those $100 eBay Les Paul kits I built. These pickups sound pretty darn good, though I only give them 4 star because of a couple issues. The good:- Output measured with a multimeter was within spec. Bridge was a little over 14k. Neck was around 7.5k. Those numbers drop a bit after installation, but that’s normal.- Pickups work fine. No issues with their functionality at all. Wired them up with coil splitting using push pull volume pots. And the colors match a Seymour Duncan wiring diagram.- As others have said, sound is really subjective. The quality of the player and the type of amp / rig matter a lot more than the type or quality of pickup. But I’m pleased with how these sound. I mostly just play through my iPad and bias fx. I’ve been able to dial up pretty much any les Paul tone, from Clapton on the Beano album to some modern metal Mesa boogie tones. My only point of comparison for these pickups is my Mexican HSS strat with a ceramic humbucker in the bridge. I can say that the tone of the Fleor alnico bridge pickup in my eBay les Paul sounds better to my ears than the tone of the ceramic humbucker in the bridge of my strat.- The zebra humbuckers are pretty cool looking, in my opinion. The bad:- The height adjustment screw holes in the metal were too small for the screw to fit through. I had to use a file to expand the hole and then force the screw through with a pair of channel locks. But once the screw went through, it was fine.- These pickups are pretty microphonic. Amazon says they are wax potted, but I’m not sure I buy that. Or at least, it doesn’t seem they wax potted mine too well. But hey, original PAF’s aren’t wax potted, and those are supposedly the holy grail.- The tone of the low E string on the neck pickup is really boomy and not clear or crisp. I’ve adjusted pickup height and put brand new elixir strings on my guitar. But that doesn’t make it better. Also fiddled with the settings on the amp. Didn’t make it much better either.- The lead wires out of the pickups are not shielded. I believe most higher quality humbuckers use the braided wire where the ground is the outer metal braid. I’m not really complaining about these pickups lacking that though,, because I put these in a $100 eBay kit, and just couldn’t bring myself to spend $6 on buying braided / shielded wiring for the rest of the guitar. But if that’s important to you, then just know that the lead wires are not shielded.- The lead wires from the neck are pretty short. Just had barely enough slack to solder them onto the pots. All in all, these are great value if you’re looking to out a cheap set of alnico pickups in a budget guitar. I would buy another set for $30

Great for a beginner guitar
The media could not be loaded. I'm rating this 5 stars for quick shipping, price and description. It works as expected.I used this on a cheap $50 guitar that had a bad bridge humbucker pickup. It was mailed in a large envelope, wrapped in aluminum foil and inside a plastic bag with 2 springs and 2 screws. The only problem the needs addressing is the springs are too long they need to be cut. That made it very difficult to put the screws in and then it limited how high 8 could raise the pickup. Its no where near how high I want it.I'm only using this guitar to practice at home so the sound is decent. Maybe if I cut the springs and raise the pickup it will be a little louder. All in all, for the price, it sounds fine.
