Xavax OKS Multi Silicone Grease For the Care and Maintenance of Coffee Machines Food-Safe - Transparent, 20 g

Used this silicone grease to lubricate some new 'O'-rings on a kitchen mixer tap spout. The product is transparent and fairly thick to avoid being washed away. I needed something that was food safe as the tap in question is for drinking water. The instructions state it has no influence on taste or smell and is toxologically harmless. The tube only contains 20g of grease so isn't cheap for the amount supplied, but the product itself seems good. The tube has a very narrow nozzle so it's easy to apply small amounts accurately. Made and tested in Germany which can only be a good thing.

Used this on my brew unit on my delonghi esam 4200b bean to cup. The brew unit had become bit too noisy and sounded like it was struggling. When taking it apart it was really stiff. I cleaned it thoroughly removing any trace of the old grease. Dried and reapplied the new grease around both the double rubber rings of the brew filter and then in the filter cavity. It now moves freely and easily. Machine now working better. No leaking underneath brew unit anymore. This grease seems to have done the trick. No bleeding into the coffee nor any smell or taste being transferred. If you are planning on doing the same to your coffee machine I highly recommend.

I regularly clean, descale and lubricate my Gaggia Anima automatic machine. I used the tube of grease supplied with the machine, but this is quite small and it has now run out. I looked at quite a few online and chose this one based on the size and the description. I used it for the first time today and it worked exactly like the original Gaggia grease. I am really happy with it. If you've not lubricated your machine before, please watch a video (eg from Gaggia.com). You will see that you need very little to completely grease all the parts, so don't be put off by the size of the tube. There is plenty. Also it is supposed to be really thick and viscous, so again, don't be put off as I think some have been in other reviews. This is for coffee machines or similar domestic appliances.

My bean to cup coffee machine (DeLonghi Magnifica) was not throwing the coffee pucks into the puck container but rather all over the internals of the machine. This turned out to be a symptom of the brew unit not moving properly so needed stripping down and re-greasing. Clearly a food grade grease was needed which is why I bought this product. What can I say - the brew unit now works perfectly so it might seem expensive but a lot cheaper than buying a new brew unit.

Our Delonghi bean to cup machine had been making horrible graunching noises at startup for some time, so I finally took it to bits and gave it a through cleaning. The hardest part was taking the door/spout mechanism to bits. When I eventually managed it, the disgusting gunge inside the spout made me feel quite ill... I digress. The O rings on the diffuser needed replacing, and the whole thing needed a thorough re-greasing, and so I bought this. I was initially rather dismayed at the small size of the tube, but you don't need much, and given that this is the first time I have done this in about 5 years of ownership, this tube is going to last me a good long time. I may not wait so long to the next strip down though... The result is a silky-smooth-operating machine once more, no more horrible noises, and the coffee is no longer being filtered through 5 years' worth of accumulated filth in the spout either.

Purchased to grease threads and other metal/metal contacts on coffee grinder and food safe option was essential. It is very thick but still applied easily enough and I am pleased with the results. Didn't need a large amount so the ability to buy a small tube was helpful. Highly recommended

Expensive and only lasted for one service of the infuser unit on my Delonghi coffee machine. Did the job and improved the quality of the coffee produced by my machine. Considering the cost of food grade silicone, I've started to wonder if makes more sense to invest in a new infuser unit when they are available on Amazon for approx £20.

Habe das Produkt zum Schmieren der Exzenter im Ventil meiner Siebträgermaschine bestellt. Auch wenn es lebensmittelecht ist empfehle ich beim applizieren Einweg-Handschuhe zu tragen, da es selbst mit seife schwer von den Fingern weggeht. Das spricht natürlich für die Langlebigkeit des Schmierstoffes und spiegelt sich auch an der Maschine wieder. Auch wenn der Preis erstmal hoch wirkt ist das Produkt sehr ergiebig. Ich vermute die Tube reicht mehrere Jahre.
