Powerful, small speakers that are easy to use and have plenty of bass.
Sounds great, easy to set up. Worth playing around with the levels against your music type to get the right sound (bass particularly high so was initially disappointed with a lot of 70s rock - Zepplin, Bowie, etc, as the sound felt very compressed. However, after really upping the higher and medium range on the speakers, they’ve performed beautifully). Will definitely get a second speaker the take advantage of the pairing ability. For a fairly small speaker,, it fills a moderately large room very well. Like many single speakers it performs better if played loud (so you sometimes need to compromise on the depth of sound if you want it quieter - something I suspect would be overcome if paired as a stereo system).Links into my MusicCast sound system perfectly.

Need to learn how to control EQ
I am editing this as I have sorted it out. I will leave the original review and amend at the end. This is a huge disappointment. It looks nice and is quite loud, but there it ends.Even in daylight it is nigh impossible to see the controls, and at night you can't find them as they don't light up and there is no touch to feel. But the worst is the sound. There is soooo much bass that music sounds completely muffled and speaking is hard to make out. AND THERE IS NO WAY TO CONTROL TONE - not on the speaker, nor in the app. If you listen through Spotify there is no EQ balance there either. This is sadly the worst purchase I have made. Pity because my Yamaha amp is great and MusicCast works well. The problem of not seeing the controls remains. However, I did manage to use the equaliser built into the iphone and ipad source app where there is one (TuneIn Radio, iTunes library) and it really improved the sound. Although Spotify does not have its own EQ control, the settings for iTuness seem to hold good for Spotify. It still seems odd that MusicCast app does not allow remote control and the Yamaha AV Controller does not connect to this speaker. I have revised my one star score to 4.

I have two of these to operate as a Stereo pair in my kitchen. I find the sound very good for small speakers but often the soundstage seems corrupted as one speaker doesn't keep up with the other and dropouts occur. Moving around the room (me not the speaker) seems to interrupt the sound despite a good wi-fi reception. Hence 3 stars.

Gave up after 2 units
The sound quality is great. The reliability of the device has been really poor. The first unit randomly switched itself off. Sent it back and got a replacement only for that one to become unresponsive when the buttons were pressed. When it worked it worked great. I like being able to link the speaker to my other yamaha music cast device. The music cast app is a bit sluggish at times and has taken a bit of finding my way aorund but generally its ok.

Sounds great, its rather bassy
Bought ans used as a simple bluetooth speaker. Not a big fan of downloading extra apps. But works great for that purpose. It is very bassy but in a large room it sounds great

Awesome sound. It generates so much bass for such a small device, that I had to turn the bass down!Only 4 stars, because I bought this to go with my RN602 amp, with the intention of streaming vinyl to the kitchen, which Yamaha say they'll do; but there is a delay between what's been played in the living room and what's in the kitchen, which sounds horrendous if you're standing between the two rooms (like at a party). I've been on the phone with Yamaha support who acknowledge that it's an issue, that may or may not be fixes in a future firmware update.I want to be clear though, that this delay only exists when streaming external sources (vinyl, CD player, TV, etc.). If you're playing internet radio, or Bluetoothing from a phone, then it streams to multiple rooms perfectly in sync.
