Playlearn Disco Light, Crystal, Black

Decided to buy this for my 8 week old baby as he already enjoyed experiencing light displays at his sensory class. This mini ball light is ideal as it's really compact so it doesn't take up too much room, but gives out a lovely "spacey" display. A few weeks on he still loves it and is able to spend more time relaxing and taking it all in. We're also going to take it with us on our next trip away. Great value.

For the price, this is brilliant.It's not the best made piece of kit ever, but it is very inexpensive and packs a punch in terms of the light patterns it projects. We use this in a dimly lit room and it fascinates our 3 month old. Does it's job, until something else fascinates him more...

Very poorly made.. But creates a very nice display. The battery compartment was put together so poorly, that it didn't work at all, and I ended up breaking the device (within ten minutes) using an adaptor I had, which was too powerful. Would have been a lot better if an adaptor was provided. Bought a second one, and am hoping a new, separate adapter won't destroy it. When it did switch on, it didn't rotate until I tightened the screw on the top.However, the display (once working) is so good, that I had to get a second one to try again.

At first this was really good, cheap but good. The lights are quite bright and colourful. After less than a week the motor starts grinding and making a really loud grating noise, it is now quite slow and sluggish as it rotates. It was meant to be used as a calming light for my son who has autism but the grinding noise irritates him and he can't sleep. I suppose you get what you pay for.

Bought for my baby boy, he seems to like the lights in the sensory classes we have attended so I wanted to find something similar. I have a teddy that lights up with stars on the ceiling but the lights don't move so don't capture his attention as much. This does however it is quite cheaply made and feels quite flimsy. The battery pack is very flimsy too, I can see all the glue inside sticking the wires together which was a bit unnerving! My son seems to like it and it does reflect well on the ceiling and is better than you expect when you first take it out the packet! I think it should be priced slighty cheaper if I am honest but if it entertains my little one then I guess it's worth the £9?! Needs a dark room to get the full benefit but I do like it and more importantly so does he!

Fantastic light show! I bought this for my 5 year old Grandaughter who loves all things visual. She absolutely loves watching the colours. My Grandaughter has autism and is glued to a tablet with her Bluetooth ear defenders for the majority of time watching animated songs pretty much on a loop,so this light show is a nice change for her. If you have a relative or friend with similar needs, this would be a perfect gift for them. Can't yet say how long the batteries will last but she does only have it switched on at bedtime so I expect they'll last quite well.

Really awesome lights, after party my daughter used it as night lamp by her bed. It had really nice and very fun ongoing circles. After dropping it a few times, but still works well.

Arrived before time, wasn't put together properly when opened box, very cheap brittle plastic. In its defence when put together it works fine but so cheaply made no way worth the money. As a sensory item I was expecting a more robust item.
