Sharp A F
Bought this cocktail jigger after discovering that my shot glass stolen from a bar in Thailand only measures around 35ml. Found this jigger to be great, measures an accurate 50ml double, getting me reasonably more tipsy but not wasted from the same number of vodka cokes. Only downside is it's a sharp little b***ard. First time washing it it sliced the c**p out of 2 of my fingers before I'd even realised I'd done it. Hasn't stopped my using it though, hence 4 stars, wasn't a category to mark it down on value for money for the cost of kitchen roll used wiping up the blood, but 5 stars for sturdiness and accuracy, 2 stars for easy to clean (I don't wash it now, or tell the missus to be careful when she's doing it)

It does the job perfectly. It's a reasonable weight, shiny, accurate and inexpensive. It's an attractive addition to my whisky shelf!

a very nice jigger
a very nice jigger. i checked the volume, and found the 25ml holds about 28 when filled right up to the brim, and the 50ml is about 55. this is probably deliberate, though, to prevent spillage. so don't fill it so high that you rely on surface tension to keep it from spilling when you move it – fill it with a mm to spare. then you'll have the measurements you want.of course, so long as you're consistent, it doesn't really matter if you're measuring 25 or 28ml. what's important with cocktails is the ratios.(also, this should've been obvious to me before i bought this but for some reason it wasn't – if you wash this in a dishwasher, one of the sides is going to still be full of water when the cycle finishes! and it's usually going to be a bit dirty too. so probably best to just wash this by hand if you can. but it's not a terrible ordeal to rinse it out when the dishwasher finishes, either.)
