Our favorite hot sauce.
The best flavor hot sauce we have ever tasted. Tried and true in Belize and we brought it home to enjoy and now we can’t get enough! Also a great gift for the spicy lover. Heat is a little below hot.

but I love supporting a local industry
I have written few, if any reviews, but I love supporting a local industry, or, in this case, a small industry local to somewhere. My philosophy on hot sauce, is, if your nose isn't running, and you're not crying, it's not spicy enough. And, for the record, this is the mid-level sauce. I found this sauce when I was on a cruise with my family and extended family. One of my brothers bought this sauce when we stopped in Belize, before the guides who were taking us cave rafting even mentioned it as a major international export. Me and my other brother begged some off of him to add to the local style lunch they provided and I fell in love. We all ended up buying some before we left port. I accidentally left mine on the ship, while using it to flavor up some of the on-board cuisine, and then I found it on Amazon. The very first thing I did when we got home, was order it on Amazon. When it arrived, I went immediately to a local wings place, ordered fried wings with no sauce, despite the cashiers looking at me like I was weird and insane, took them home, put them in a ziploc bag, tossed a bunch of this sauce in, shook it up and had the best wings of my life. I have since kept reordering it and adding it to everything from salsa to Thai dishes, anything I want to spice up. Here's how you know a good hot sauce, the primary ingredient in this sauce is habaneros, not vinegar or anything else, just habaneros. I swear by this sauce, and if you want even spicier, they have a higher level than Fiery, "No Wimps Allowed". I'll confess, I'm too scared to go there, because I think my colon would go on strike. But, here's what's great about it, and adds to the joy of buying this, if you care about that sort of thing, is it supports a small business in Belize. If you don't care about that, it's still amazing and delicious, if you like dousing your mouth in gasoline and setting it on fire the way I do. If you want something tame, look elsewhere. This sauce isn't playing. If you're looking for mild, I would not even be sure the lowest level of this sauce is for you, though I haven't tried it, so it's possible. But if you are looking for a serious hot sauce, and you've been disappointed with all the vinegar and sugar-laden sauces that saturate the market, look no further; THIS company makes the sauce you're looking for. I swear to god, I ought to be paid for this endorsement, but honestly, I'd just take a lifetime supply of sauce, if they want to thank me for this review. I really just hope enough people keep buying this sauce so I can always get it from Amazon so conveniently. I was so worried after I left Belize, and left my sauce on the ship that I'd never see the like again. It is uniquely amazing.

Delicious hot sauce!
We were so happy to see this delicious hot sauce available on Amazon and have ordered it more than 34 times since our trip to Belize. This is the first time out of all those orders that we received damaged product. They were wrapped in bubble wrap like usual but somehow the caps on both were cracked and unusable. Thankfully there was no damage to the glass bottles. We had to use saran wrap to cover the lids and put both bottles in the fridge right away instead of saving a bottle for later like usual. It's a terrific hot sauce that goes well with burritos, tacos, sopes, tamales and so much more and we will continue to support this small business.PS: I hope the bubble wrap is the new recyclable kind or they replace it with that type, I know that it needs wrapping to protect the bottles but I just found out recently that traditional bubble wrap takes hundreds of years to disintegrate.

This is the best hot sauce I've ever had
The flavor is so good. I've tried a lot of hot sauces, and I haven't found anything that compares to this. If you want hot sauce that really tastes good, not just hot sauce that serves as a carrier for heat, this is for you.In my experience, these 4 maria sharp's hot sauces are all the same excellent flavor, but with different levels of heat. Here is how hot I rate them as of 2014 (2015/2016 orders have been less spicy, see bottom paragraph for details):**Maria sharp's habanero hot sauce MILD - very mild heat. I had trouble detecting it, but my more sensitive friends said they could feel it.**Maria sharp's habanero hot sauce HOT - Hot. slightly hotter than tapatio. I highly recommend this level to most people. It's a good level of heat for people who want some heat in their food.**Maria sharp's habanero hot sauce FIERY - my favorite level of heat. About as hot as black label (extra hot) valentina hot sauce. Don't order this unless you've actively sought spicy hot sauces.**Maria sharp's habanero hot sauce BEWARE - I'm pretty resilient to spice, but this was too much for me. I could only put 3-4 drops on a bite, and even that was making me all sweaty and uncomfortable. I only recommend this for people who eat habaneros and feel like they aren't too bad. If you're *just* looking for really spicy hot sauces, you could get this, but honestly, you're wasting your money. There are hotter hot sauces than this out there. They don't taste as good, but they are cheaper. The other Marie Sharp's varieties I really didn't like as much. They are definitely quality hot sauces, but when you get the sampler pack and try these 4, it's hard to justify ordering the other ones. There's definitely some batch to batch variation in the eat, and either I've gotten a few weak batches recently (late 2015- mid 2016), or they've taken "fiery" and "beware" down one step on my list. The last "fiery" batch I ordered was on par with Tapatio in terms of heat, so I've been happily ordering "beware" more recently, though the batches I've had don't really deserve the "beware" that's printed on the label. I haven't ordered "hot", so I don't know if it's weaker, too. Even with the variation in heat, I can't rate this stuff any less than 5 star because it's so delicious.
