This is a nice disk, well weighted and seems sturdy. After reading other reviews, I made sure to check the "rope," which is not as sturdy. It was very loosely tied on. I ended up reattaching the rope using a clip-on hook, with good knots and tape. I also added my own measurements with a sharpie pen. I'm glad I checked, otherwise I fear my disk would have ended up at the bottom of the lake. But the quality of the disk itself is good, and the price was very reasonable, so I'm giving it 5 stars anyway.

So far, I've not caught any decent sized fish with this. Though I imagine it might give a crab a good headache. ;-D. jk - it's a Secchi disk. It measures turbidity in the water. It does a good job though it is just a bit smaller in diameter than most Secchi disks I've used, so not exactly certain how comparable its results are with a larger one (that you may be able to see a little further down). Also, would have been great if it came with a marked rope. As it is, I just knotted the rope every half meter and it works just fine.

This is a great product for the price. There's a lot of expensive ones out there but this one works just as great! Sturdy plastic disk & nice weight at the end.

Does it's job.For this amount of money though, they could have at least taped off some 12" measurements.

Well-made disk with good black and white divisions. Weighted well and sinks with minimal movement. Yellow lanyard that appears durable, interesting semi-rigid foam piece for storage. Only wish the lanyard had been marked in 6" intervals but managed it myself with a sharpie. If you're looking to measure water turbidity, this is the tool for you.

I expected the disc would be properly tied to the line. It was not. it came off the line during the second drop. Maybe the line was too slippery to tie. The disc is inexpensive so I ordered another. Would by a disc without the line but the ones on the site without line are twice the price I will tie this one myself

Good quality. Used for weekly water quality (algae monitoring). I had to mark measurement lines on n the string.

The quality of the materials is as expected and it works as needed. Good price - quality relation.
