Outstanding for the price.
Someone broke a piece of the rear-right fender off of our UTV at work ( A Kubota RTV500 ).I saved the piece, and bought this tool to see if I could fix it.One tiny triangular chunk was lost for good, but, I did manage to try this tool for the first time.I had never used a tool like this before, and was unsure of it.All I could think was, "This is going to be one of those, "NAILED IT!" before and after shots, I know it" Because I didn't believe the tool would work so well for being so inexpensive.Again, I have NEVER done this kind of repair before with a tool like this at all.It was so simple and easy to use... I was, very impressed. For a first time ever touching this type of tool, I think it came out really well.I have included the photos I took while doing the work, and it only took me about 25-30 minutes, literally did this on my lunch break at work...I recommend watching a youtube video on this tools operation, to be sure it is something you think you can do.Also, here is a tip, press the "staple" against the plastic first and pull the trigger, don't just heat it up in the air n stick it in there. The tool heats up fast, but not too fast to use properly. This wattage, (150W) is PERFECT. Any less and it would have been super slow and annoying to use, any MORE and it would be TOO fast to use.Once you get the ends snipped off (I used flush cutters because the wire cutters it comes with leave WAY too much of the staple sticking out) then I hit the ends with a grinding stone on a Dremel tool and it was fine, I didn't have sand paper to make it look pretty but despite this, it came out rather well for a first time ever use.If you have an ATV, or any vehicle that has a broken bumper, rather than frankenstein-ing it with pop rivets a sheet of metal, or epoxy, or plastic adhesives, TRY THIS.This tool sets hot wire into the material, LOCKING it in place, and once you smooth it over with the flat spatula end, (Which you can bend to a usable curve shape or any shape you need it comes with TWO of them) you will be able to make the repair, solid, and look fairly okay for what it is.I am CERTAIN with a couple uses, you will become REALLY good at it and it will look better than my poopie job depicted in the photos. I am not saying I want more broken things to fix, but really this was FUN to use, like a little craft project that took only 20 minutes. So the next time something plastic DOES break, this is going to be my go to tool of choice. 100%

Coolest thing I have ever used
This thing works magic on bumpers and any broken plastics, I have patched up two bumpers now and it is just amazing how easy it is to use and how effective it works. It makes me feel like a surgeon as I "stitch" bumpers back together in seconds.

Love this plastic welder
It’s easy to use and actually works. I used it to weld a bolt flange on my daughters headlight, and to weld the air filter Cover clip on my weedeater. This thing is awesome. Saves time and money to have to order replacement parts when you can fix them at home.

Cool tool
Used it right of the box to fix a shovel,(20$)dustpan(2$ and city trash barrel(165$),already paid for itself!,now the dirt on it,it works, works really well, but,it was thirty bucks, why?,it is a.cheaply made unit, almost feels like a kid toy ,after I used it for ohhhhh, 20 minutes the gun itself started to split in two??? Well,I was able to to put it back, snap it back, together, checked the two screws, that hold the gun together ,those were.kinda.loose,tighten,snug them and it still works, phew.its is a.cheap tool that actually works well, the kit itself has alot of staples and a few.rods two burn\weld tips,I like it I'm a gadget tool guy and I think this is well worth the money

Underwhelmed
This product is misleadingly advertised as 150W. In reality, the hot staples operate at a maximum of 35W, and the hot knife peaks at 79W. The manual confirms the maximum current draw is only 0.5 amps, equating to 60W. Staples heat up within seconds, so the wattage seems appropriate for that function. However, the cutting performance leaves much to be desired. While cutting starts adequately fast, it slows considerably after just a few inches, even when the current draw remains above 75W. Strangely, the heat doesn't seem to transfer effectively to the tip, leaving it unclear where the energy is going.
