Seems to work exactly as expected
Maintains temperature within an 8F band, which seems like a ridiculously huge dead band. BUT it's doing what it's supposed to. And dogs aren't really going to notice that much change, even though it'd be very obvious to humans. Installation was fairly easy, though I would have liked more mounting points so I could have mounted it lower. In 36F weather, high winds, in Colorado, it takes 11 minutes to raise the temperature from 71F to 78F. That's pretty solid, and makes me believe the claimed wattage of this heater, which is something most products seem to lie about (since most people buy heaters for the easy climates of cities). I'm estimating this heater can keep a dog house survivable to at least -20F. It's definitely a beast, which is exactly what you need when you live in an ACTUALLY rough climate. Even when it's been running for a while, the heating elements don't glow, which means it'd be tough for it to start a fire under any circumstances. I have a very furry German Shepherd, so this is a big concern. Also, it's not UL certified. This is a significant concern, but getting UL certified costs money, and they're probably trying to keep costs down. So it's one of those things that's generally not a good sign, but doesn't mean anything in itself. Plus I have it on a GFI (WHICH EVERY PERSON SHOULD DO FOR ANYTHING EXTERIOR REGARDLESS OF THE SITUATION), and it (at least supposedly) has a bunch of built-in protections. So overall, very happy with this heater so far. I'll update this review if/when I have any problems. In the meantime, GET UL CERTIFIED. I understand it adds a little to the price, but it lets people know the heater won't burn down their neighborhood.

Great heater
I got one for the dog house and it did a great job of helping my two dogs warm. I got two more for my two chicken coops. They work great.

Does not heat. Don’t waste money
I was so excited to get this product. O bought it in October but just now installed and realized it doesn’t work and is too late to return. Makes me so sad.

Our dog is 100lbs, runs warm so didn't need a crazy amount of heat. This heater perfect.
Quiet, dog's hearing unimpaired.

A great heater
Used in my dogs pen in conjunction with a Inkbird temperature controller. Worked excellent all winter. If it could be chewed up, my dane would have. So I guess its pretty solid.

Keeps rabbit hutch warm during cold winter
This has been a great unit in the rabbit hutch. I set it just enough to keep the water from freezing inside the hutch and to take the edge off the harsh cold. The adjustability is nice so that it does not run too hot or too cold.

Not enough heat
I bought this for an insulated cat shelter that's inside a barn. It's insulated and not in the wind but running it on high is only getting the inside temp to 55 degrees. The outside temp is only down to 32 degrees. There's no way it will heat enough when the temp gets into single digits. I do like how quiet it is which is why I chose it so I'm super bummed it isn't good enough.
