I bought this for my granddaughter for her 8th birthday! She absolutely loves it and has been painting nonstop! I hope this will become something she loves! I highly recommend this!

This is ok as a beginner's kit or a kid's play kit. Note that I had to sand it as the wood was rough and splinters were all over. I then stained it. The palette had paint stains on back and the knives set packing was open.That being said, it has 6 flat canvas 2 of each size. The paint set is nice with variety of colors. Colors are not bright. The paint brushes are dollar quality, but do the job. The palette knives have a good size variation. Quality ok for the price.I would suggest you inspect before gifting. Otherwise, good for tweens and teens.

I had never taken painting seriously, but had recently begun to try and learn. This was the first paint set i ordered and it gave me everything i needed to begin painting. The paint, brushes , and canvases are good quality, and the easel works well.
