After using both this and Scar Away, I can confidently say CICA-CARE is superior for my needs. Here's a quick comparison:What I Love (CICA-CARE):Thick & Secure: Feels much more protective than the thin Scar Away sheets.Stays Put: On my thigh scar, it doesn't peel or lift at all. A huge improvement.Easy to Clean & Re-use: This is the biggest win. It washes easily and stays sticky, making it very economical. Scar Away fails completely in this area.Great for Daytime Face Use: Stays on my oily face during the day without issue.The Minor Downside:Nighttime Face Use: It did tend to peel off my face while I was sleeping. Interestingly, the thinner Scar Away sheet stayed on better overnight on my face, but would slip off during the day.

Really helps to quickly fade scars. Used it after heart surgery and my scar is very faded. Looks amazing.

Thick, good adhesion, can last at least a month if washed daily etc.

With regular wear, this silicone product definitely helps to soften and increase elasticity of scars. This is frequently recommended by physicians and therapists. The most recent purchase seems to be a bit thinner so it doesn't hold up as well as the older products which were thicker.

I cut in to strips for my c section scar. It does not stay in place well and using medical tape did not hold it in place. My advice is that you buy the Frida mom c section patches and use that to hold it in place. This has worked really well for me. It is reducing the color, texture and helping restore sensation to my scar. Worth the price.

It's too thick so it's difficult to use on curved areas, and it's too transparent so it's not good for covering wounds.I think it would be good for wounds in large areas.Adhesion is poor

After doing some research and watching a few YouTube videos, I decided to try this product for my Carpel Tunnel incision . My stiches were removed a few days ago and I was looking for a way to keep to covered without having to wrap my entire hand. This is a fantastic solution thus far. Several reviews recommended securing it with medical tape to prevent it from slipping. I decided to cover it with kinesiology tape. First photo shows the silicone sheet cut down to a small square and placed over my surgery site (with a digital sticker to censor it a bit) In the second photo with the k tape over it, you can see how the silicone provides some cushioning. I am having my other hand done next month and I think that one sheet will be plenty.Because of the adhesive and the incision still healing, I personally will not be removing it unless it comes off in the shower. Similar to steri strips. I would not pull this off for fear I would disturb the incision.*Always talk to your doctor or nurse before applying anything to a wound or surgical site.
