I recently got a turning board for dance practice, and it’s been such a great addition to my routine! It’s really helped improve my turns and balance. Great turning tool! This helped tremendously with all different types of turns.

My daughter is an 11 year old competitive dancer that had been struggling with spotting, which meant she could not consistently do more than a single pirouette. After practicing with this over a weekend she learned to constantly spot and was able to do a double and quickly thereafter a triple. This isn’t a magic disc, the dancer needs to understand the technique, but for my daughter, she just needed to separate the thought of the body movement from the thought behind the spotting. This disc allowed her to just concentrate on spotting and understand what it felt like to do it properly then marry this new skill with the body control. This is something she’d had a block on for a while and this dish was the key to open the block for her. If you or your dancer struggle with getting out of your head to gain skills, is highly recommend this.

It is very effective and useful for practicing. I did get the wrong kind of spinner (I should've gotten the long rectangle one instead), but I've still been able to help find my center of gravity while using it. It will slip easily if you aren't fully centered or lean too far over, but it's very enjoyable and compact; you can use it anywhere that has smooth hard floors. (Or concrete. Yes, I took a risk. It still works on smooth floors.)

This was not what I expected. I was hoping it would be a pivoting board with base that I could.use for spins and jumps for figure skating. It is a slider board and all one piece. I could have bought the same thing for much less and I already have these at home. Don't be mislead.
