I bought this for my soon to be step son as ameans to instill some realistic life skills in him. I want him to succeed in life and recognize that moms and teachers can’t do it all. This book provided the foundation that I was hoping for. It’s easy to read (so he won’t get distracted) and was a good conversation starter. I found this book as a means to communicate and connect while providing him with some essential skills. I won’t claim to be his step dad but, perhaps the dad that stepped up. This book is working (parenting never ends) for us and I hope it works for you.

This book is a lifesaver for those of us with parents who did not teach them how to literally do any basic adult tasks. I love this book and it's been extremely helpful because unfortunately there is a large chunk of the population, like myself, who were raised by self absorbed parents, absent parents, emotionally immature parents, narcissistic parents etc. And although we are getting a late start at learning some basic skills, it is better late than never.

We bought this as a funny gift for our 20 and 17 year old children but it turned out to be full of useful information. It's easy to read and is extremely detailed in many areas of adulthood.

My grandson had just graduated from high school and I thought this would benefit him. Never hurts to try to prepare them for the future. I gave it 4 stars only because I mailed it to him and I didn't get to look at it.

This book gives good, real world advice for teenagers and young adults. An example is 'how to change a tire' and other things kids need to know.

My daughter was excited to get this book.

This does have some good topics but also some impractical suggestions. Not what I really expected for a young teen coming off age.

As another grandson goes out on his own, this book will give him gentle tips on how to be an adult.
