This spatula is absolutely beautiful. It is just a tad lighter than it looked on my computer (more of a golden brown than darker brown), but will still coordinate just fine with my kitchen theme. I am leaving it in its clear original packaging since I will be moving soon, but you can see the great quality workmanship. It looks nice and sleek, slightly angled, and comes to a narrower flipping edge than is shown in the product photos. I see no flaws or rough edges whatsoever. I had my eye on it for awhile, and was able to purchase when it got back in stock. For the price, it is an exceptional value. I would not hesitate to get one if it gets back in stock again. I am very pleased with my purchase.

It cooks
Good cheap paddle-style wooden turner. Gets the job done, easy to clean and it's biodegradable for when it eventually breaks. I've had lots of wooden spatulas, and even the super expensive ones eventually get beaten up and break. In the last few years I've switched to less expensive wooden spoons and spatulas and they work just as well and you save a little money. This one's pretty good.

Quality Went Down
This is one of my best buys this month.. Very nice and smooth... washes up well... A cut above most. Recommend.. good handle, does well in pans... no splinters... no swelling in water and I accidentally soaked it... washed right off like new! Update.... Ordered a second one this past month and the quality was not near the same. The one I received this time was just a grade above balsa wood strength (in my opinion). Wasn't near as thick (looked about half) as the first one. What's up with that? No longer recommend.

Weird finish/coating of unknown chemistry. Caveat emptor.
The description leaves out what exactly is that semi-gloss finish. Is it varnish? Clear paint? Healthy? Toxic? Reviewers casually, blithely assure potential customer it’s safe, right after admitting they have no idea what it is! I’m not putting it in my foods, and as Chinese manufacture...good luck. Wish I could return, but I tossed the packaging.

HaloVA is not a type of wood, but the company's name that is selling this item. Appears to be an outstanding value.
Not the heaviest wooden utensil you'll ever own but very well made. Bought it exclusively to scrape bits off the bottom on my cast iron pan and it appears perfectly suited for that purpose. For under $6 this appears to be an outstanding value. The description is a little bit confusing...be aware that HaloVA is not a type of wood, but the company's name that is selling this item.

Very Pleased - A must have tool
The best spatula for my cast iron and nonstick fry pans. Very sturdy, it has a nice thickness, smooth finish and performs well.I'm using it daily.. this spatula is great and scratch free. The handle is large enough and is comfortable in the hand. The scoop angle is great for stirring food around the pan. I recommend this product.

Really needed something that would break down sausage or hamburger into smaller pieces in my non-stick pans. This works great. Also larger surface than the one that I almost stole from my mom's kitchen. Perfect for what I needed!

Great value turner
This turner has a narrow handle which works great for handling. Other turners I've used have a think Sharpie or bigger sized handle which I find cumbersome, but this is a nice thin piece of wood that still feels substantial.
