I’m really impressed with the mental clasping system. It’s a really nice design and really heavy duty!!! If you have a medium or large dog I highly recommend the collar. My two dogs only weigh 6 pounds each and I hope the collar isn’t too heavy for them because I love it! The color is beautiful and the material used is woven and really nice looking. I can’t believe how reasonably priced this collar is. I highly recommend this product if you’re as concerned about the safety of your dog or dogs as I am.

This is one of those products where as soon as you take it out of the box you’ll immediately know that it’s good quality. After 18 months it still looks practically brand new. The color hasn’t faded and the collar itself hasn’t frayed even the least bit. I really like the clasp and how easy and smooth it is to attach and detach. I’ve purchased many collars over the years and this is easily the best of them all. You can’t go wrong with this collar, just buy it.

I replace my dog’s collars annually in their Christmas stockings… we are on our third set of these collars. They are great. We love that they have been sturdy for our large pit bulls with the largest size, but are also cute. Also hold up well in the wash.We do not walk our dogs with a leash attached to the collar (not a safe idea for large dogs anyways) so I can’t speak to that aspect, but as a general collar that we hold onto they are great.

Love this dog collar. Fantastic quality, holds up to abuse, and continues to perform each and every day. Our dog is 5 years old and has her original collar still to this day. Due to its color and wornness, I decided to have a backup for In between washes...AKA I recently got got poison ivy and am cleaning everything. The original caller to is still going strong and our dog has worn it everyday for 5 years. It's been through washes. And anything you could think of. It's been through brush/ outdoor snagging and etc. Our dog doesn't seem to mind the collar or find it uncomfortable. It's extremely easy to attach and user friendly. All in all I gave it a five star as a great product! I ordered the exact same color seen in pictures.

My dog (full size-70 lbs, Aussie Doodle) has been wearing this collar when we go on our daily walks for the past 2 years. It’s a solid heavy duty dog collar that holds firm and is comfortable. I’d highly recommend it if you’re looking for a robust collar that stays on and works well with a dog who likes to pull.

*Edit at bottom*I got these collars for our three dogs, a Treeing Coonhound Mix, a Husky Doberman Mix, and a Pit Mix.They work fine for the Coonhound and the Pit, but our Husky Doberman will slip it no matter what. That's not necessarily the collars fault, that's just who he is as a dog, and we got these collars more for their tags than for walking.They're made out of a thick seat belt material, and the clasp is solid and strong metal.I appreciate that they can be thrown in the wash, but I have found that I need to pre-treat them to get dirt stains out.Our Husky Doberman cross has medium length hair, but it is THICK. At some point he must have either rolled in something or gotten wet in the back yard or something. Either way, I noticed that his neck stunk. Even after bathing him and washing the collar multiple times, if the collar gets the slightest bit damp it stinks so bad. Like mildew and something else I can't place. I've washed the collar by hand and in the washer. With dish soap, detergent, dog shampoo, laundry disinfectant, vinegar, color safe bleach. I've air dried, dried in the sun, in the dryer. No matter what, at the slightest dampness, it stinks.I'm assuming it has something to do with our dog's thick fur. Maybe the collar just traps that dampness. But either way, it's frustrating that such an otherwise well made collar has this fatal flaw when it's marketed as something rugged, but can't stand up to roughhousing in the backyard.**Edit**I wanted to add that within 24 hours of posting a review, Made to Roam reached out to me and offered to send me a replacement collar or refund ALL THREE of the collars I bought. Mind you, only one collar didn't work out for us.I was also WELL past the return window. This company truly cares about its product and it's customers. We will be trying their martingale collars to see if the leather inside the collar helps prevent odors, and if not, we'll still be return customers for our other two dogs.

This is a a Great Collar for a Large breed like our Great Dane Winston! He is so comfortable as soon as he put it on he laid down, that’s how I know this is a great fit, When you slip this collar on your pooch and hear the click in the sound quality in the buckle and feel the quality you will know you made the right choice, we love the slip resistance and ease of putting it on. I feel like this is a very soft and comfortable collar just from the feel, I also like that this color is reflective and functional features and detail I have been searching for high quality and I feel so happy that my Great Dane, can feel good and look good while walking.

I really like this collar, I got one for my Puggle and one for my GSD. They're well made and sturdy, the buckle is really nice as well. All the hardware is metal so you don't have to worry about plastic breaking or anything. My only 'issue' is that the color is a little darker than the picture in the listing. It's almost more gray in certain lighting. I still really like it, so 5 stars remain. There's always the chance with colors not being 100% accurate but it's still very pretty and very well made. We will likely be ordering another set when it's time for the kiddos to change it up again.
