Very Easy to Use & Well Worth the Price.
Playing a game of X01 darts can be a slow process if you are numerically challenged like me. Standing at the line ready to throw another dart but still trying to do the math in my head....slowly. However, North Gear has designed an electronic dart scoring unit that is easy to use and does the math for me. Here are a few key qualities of their scorer:1 - It is easy to use. There is a miniature (5.5 inches in diameter) dart board on the unit that includes singles, doubles and triple segments. These segments are large enough to easily enter your score. Every section has pressure sensitive buttons that you press to input your actual dart throwing results. The unit instantly does the math calculations for you and displays your score on its LCD screen. There is also a button for "Misses" to record a darts that bounces off the real board. Entering scores could not be any easier, only takes a moment and does not distract from throwing darts! After recording three throws the unit announces "Next" because it can record/calculate the scores for multiple players. I think up to eight players, however, I play alone mostly so I have not had a chance to try out the multi-player function.2 - The North Gear Darts Electronic Dart Scorer with Voice Prompts has over 500 different games you can play on it. All the X01 games and a variety of Cricket games, Shanghai, and many many many more. Who knew there were so many games to be played on a dart board? Honestly, I have not played these other games yet, I have just been using the unit to play 301 or 501. BTW - The voice prompts provided by the unit are not too annoying. It cheers when I record a triple, it says, "Next" after I record three dart throws, otherwise it is mostly silent. Also, the voice prompts can be turned off.3 - The North Gear Darts Electronic Dart Scorer with Voice Prompts unit is an appropriate size. It is 10.5 inches long, 6.3 inches high and an inch+ thick. It has two feet on the upper portion of the back of the unit that gives it a slight tilt to make it easier to see and use if you are setting it on a table next to your throwline as I do. It can also be attached to the wall with the included hanging bracket and screws.4 - Conclusion: If you are math challenged while playing darts - buy this fairly priced unit. It works!Note to manufacturer: while the LCD screen on this unit is perfectly fine for most folks, my old eyes could use a larger screen. :-)

Great product but difficult to see cricket numbers
This scoring device is almost perfect. The only issue is that you cannot see what numbers you still need on cricket. We shine a flashlight on it, but it’s still difficult to make out. Easy to see the score on something like 301.

This is a great edition to my darts playing.
I'm not a pro, just a person that likes to throw darts to relax at night. I'm not very good at keeping a running score. This little product is very cool. It not only keeps a running score, but it makes playing alone more fun and less boring than just throwing. It runs on 3 AA batteries, but can be powered by an AC Adapter. If you use an AC adapter, it's 5 volts 1000 MA or bigger. The center pin is positive, and the sleeve is negative. It's not hard to figure out and use, but read the owner's manual so you can get the most enjoyment from it.The voice is not too intrusive. I've read that it can be disabled, but I haven't seen or found a way to do that, and the owner's manual doesn't even mention it. If I could change one thing, it would be to have a bigger screen. I have to lower the reading glasses to enter the throws and see the score, then take the glasses off to throw my darts. It would also be nice if it had a nice blue or amber backlight. But for the price and what it does, this is a good deal and a very nice item to have if you enjoy darts. I'm happy with it.

Not simple to use.
Not easy to figure out. Have reached out to the company for help as the instructions seem simple enough but I can’t get it to work. It’s supposed to talk, hasn’t talked to me yet.
