I was looking for some containers to use in my pantry and couldn't find quite what I wanted in Rubbermaid's regular line. I guess they no longer make the large square ones I purchased +/- twenty years ago for sugar and flour--they have been great! so I wanted to stay with the same brand. I haven't looked at or purchased any of the commercial products in this brand before, because I didn't realize there would be so many choices as far as size (I thought they would all be huge) and I figured they would be pretty expensive.But when I saw the (ridiculously low) cost for these--they were almost 50% off an already very reasonable price, I decided to order a few (I bought two of these and one 6-quart) and I think they are perfect for what I want. I am going to order a few smaller ones, too.The only thing I wasn't thrilled about is that the lids needed to be ordered separately--I was wondering why they weren't shown in the picture, but one of the reviews I read clued me in...(they were also on sale, so I was very happy to have large, very high quality containers (not clear, but you can see through them easily) for so little $$!Handles make them easy to well, handle...and the lid fits snugly. Happy with purchase!

The perfect bin for proofing sourdough bread - note that it does not come with a cover/lid, but plastic wrap or a towel will do just fine!

It's a nice container. Just wish the lid that it was paired with would seal with it like it says in the advertisement that it's supposed to be able to do. I'm not sure about the other professionals out there that do cooking, but when I buy a container that's supposed to seal to the lid or vice versa it would be nice if that actually happened. All in all though, the size is wonderful, just wish the lid did what it was supposed to do because it doesn't so now I either Saran wrap the top or turn that container into a kid's crayon holder or something along those lines

I guess I just assumed it would have a lid for storing food in it but it does not. Awesome not sure where to buy a lid or which ones fit so fairly disappointed and unable to use for my purpose.

One suggestion, on the website--it would have been very helpful to know the diameter if the top opening.It was to large of a diameter for my intended use for it.

Good food safe, easy to clean, looks good. I store water in the kitchen in the two I purchased. Our water supply has stopped.

Picture and write-up of product are false. This is a bucket or a pail. No lid included. Not impressed!

When you look at all the pictures one would assume that this product comes with the yellow lid..... it does not! Nowhere in the ad does it say "lid not included". It is very misleading to the people who are purchasing it with the intent of needing a lid... i mean who wouldn't want a lid?! My bucket also came scuffed and scratched in many places. Will be returning.BUT as for the quality of the bucket - it's great quality. (I would be using it to proof dough, so the next comments are for that purpose)... the bucket is strong, you can hold it tightly in one arm and it keeps it strength. You can also put pressure on the rim and it does not collapse... if it only came with a lid!
