This is a long strap with a hook closure for easy wear. I'm always looking for shoes with straps because I'm in between sizes most of the time. This straps are perfect to hold shoes in place and you can not see or feel them. You can attached to any shoe without compromising the look and style. .

It wasn’t like a regular buckle. I wasn’t quite sure how to use the product

The straps are long so you will likely need to add extra holes to make them smaller. (Not hard to do.) I fit them to crisscross behind my ankle (rather than in front as shown in the photo). The sandals I bought them for are backless. However, the straps fell when I walked. I already cut them so they're too short to crisscross across the front of my foot (as shown). It's possible that may have worked, can't say.

Once you figure out how to get the ends to connect they actually work really well!!! lol
