This item is easy to assemble. At first it felt wobbly and loose but soon, as assembly progressed, it was strong and solid. It has a good Powder coat finish that is nice, and has a lot of capacity at 90cm by 40cm x 5 shelves so that's 1.8 metres of shelf space on a footprint of just under 0.4 meters. Only gripe, the parts list was slightly inaccurate, stating that there should have been 10 shelf braces but the design only has attachment points for 5. I checked the french and German assembly instructions and in both the parts list only specified 5 shelf braces in the shipped package... I'm not going to drop a star for this because the assembly was hassle free and the final result a sturdy, value for money product.

Going into this I wasn’t sure about the boltless design of this but having assembled three of these now it was actually pretty straightforward and assuming you’ve assembled them correctly and once fixed to the wall, they are definitely sufficiently sturdy. Only slight negative is around the shelves themselves which are a bit on the flimsy side and don’t fit particularly snuggly but they seem okay. All in all, happy with these shelves- particularly atbthebprice

I freely admit that I am pretty useless when it comes to self assembly furniture of any kind. I chose this particular supplier because of the positive reviews but I had to admit defeat and begin the returns process. The only positive thing I can say is that the instructions are very good and fairly easy to follow; unfortunately the same can’t be said for the component parts. Having assembled one side when I began to connect it to the other most of the pieces came apart - it seems to me that it only becomes stable once all the 4 uprights (which themselves need to be connected as they come in 2 halves) are connected which I found frustratingly difficult as the parts so far assembled came apart!

I was pleasant surprised at the sturdiness of this unit. Once I got the hang of how to connect the pieces, the assembly went fairly smoothly. It's better to have a second person to help but I'm a 72-year old woman and did it with no assistance. I like the unit so well that I've ordered a 2nd one in the next size down.
