Easily installed support, performs as expected.
I used these lift supports to hold up my custom arcade cabinet control panel. I initially tried higher rated gas struts, but those exerted too much pressure and only one would not allow the panel to stay close. This 18lb rating was just fine for my control panel which weighs around 30lbs (plywood, acrylic, and arcade controls). The metal band clips make it easy to pop off the mounting points by simply slipping a flathead screwdriver underneath, to make installation or swapping out the mounting points easy. They hold the lid up and slow the rate of closure, though they're not a "soft-close" type, maybe in a different setup the struts can be positioned well enough to allow for that.

works and fits correctly, not a true 18lb lift though
does not lift or hold the 80n/18lb very well. have it installed on a cabinet door, replaced a different brand 18lb/80n strut that wore out and started leaking. Sadly, this one does not spring up or hold the door as high as the old one did, it works, but i'm going to replace it sooner rather than later.

Good purchase
These hinges work well for my kitchen cabinets. I thought they were a lot more expensive so I'm glad these were so affordable, I just hope they last. They were easy to install despite not receiving a manual as stated in the description. I will be buying more to finish the rest of my cabinets.
