THE best mallet for your singing bowls
The media could not be loaded. This is mallet is incredible! In my vid I tried to show how easy it is to get up to tone speed for my bowl. It only take a full turn and be starts singing. It SO much faster than my old baton and the tone that it gets from my bowl is so much more intense, pure and lovely. If you have a crystal singing bowl, I'd highly recommend this mallet . BTW it's incredibly challenging to make the bowl sing and hold the camera if you see me hand staggering it's not the mallet it was due to having to hold my phone and play the bowl. Also the recording doesn't fully do the tone it put through justice, it's deeper and powerful sounding.I alost have a metal bowl and it works great on that, not even a fully relation and the bowl that singing loud and clear and it also gives it a much better tone than the suede and wooden mallet that came with it. Bottomline?...get it it's a great price and a great item.

Not all singing bowl mallets are equal.
This TOPFUND mallet creates a smooth, mellow, uniform toning sound. Not all similar-looking mallets can do that. Other mallets can grab and stutter, which is disconcerting during a meditation. For striking the crystal bowl, a suede, cylindrical striker produces the clearest, bell-like tone. A bowl that is struck by a rubber ball mallet has a muted sound. On the other hand, toning a bowl (rubbing it for a continuous tone) produces the best sound with a rubber ball mallet (toning with a suede, tubular striker can produce a scratchy sound). I always have both types handy when playing crystal bowls. The TOPFUND rubber ball mallet produces a great, smooth toning sound, whereas similar mallets might grab and stutter.

Lovely Mallet
I love this little mallet. its so deceptive in that it looks like glass and feels like it would rattle on my singing bowls but its perfect! it has just a bit of grip on the crystal or metal so it does not rattle. i can get a wicked strong frequency coming off my F crystal bowl so that Heart Chakra song resonates all thru the mountains!

Good product with one manufacturing flaw
The mallet is a good value for the money. It is light and easy to use. However, I marked it down due to a critical manufacturing flaw. The rubber end came with a molding ridge running all the way around (see photo). I tried playing my bowls in this condition and the sound changed noticeably when the ridge came into contact with the bowl, which is unacceptable. I was able to remedy it by carefully hand sanding the ridge down flush with the surrounding material using 150 grit sandpaper. Because it changed the appearance of the rubber, I continued sanding the entire ball for a uniform look. see photo. In all fairness, I feel the extra friction caused by the sanded surface actually improved the playability of the mallet, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 3.

Not for beginners!
This official "Topfund" singing bowl mallet to my knowledge is only conpatable with quarts... when used correctly it allows u to get a cleaner more precise tone from your bowl. If u play singing bowls this is a must have .

Too hard
I’ve use many different wands for sound baths on crystal and Tibetan bowls, and was hoping this one would give enough resistance for getting bowls to sing quickly as an alternative to my suede and leather wand. It didn’t perform as expected, it was not as rubbery as needed, but harder almost like glass, and so makes a more scratchy sound, a little harder than a plain wooden one would.

This is a Wonderful Singing Bowl!
I love that this singing bowl vibrates at the solar charka! My body senses its resonance and responds strongly. I enjoy the incredibly rich tone, and yes it calibrates with the piano. I have consistently used this since my purchase. While I greatly appreciate the quality of the bowl and mallet, the storage case is nothing to snarl at. It's encompasses the bowl snuggly and the leather mallet stores inside the bowl. It's all very nice. Your first crystal singing bowl MUST be a Topfund!

A bit harsh
I think it needs a softer rubber around the crystal. It's kinda like a hard plastic almost. So if you aren't extremely careful, it'll make a horrid vibration sound on your singing bowl. You must hold it firmly and apply a firmer pressure on your bowls.

I thought it was okay
I thought it was okay and then I found another one and it’s waaay better. These are still pretty hard and product the scratching sound because the silicone is too hard.

Nice mallet in a soft useful pouch.
Nice quality rubber mallet. The soft pouch is very useful to make the mallet softer when tapping a tuning fork on it. Without the pouch, it’s sometimes too hard which causes harmonics with long low frequency forks.
