Easy to replace the battery. But received replacement battery May 10, return period ended June 9. Battery just went KAPUTT - dead less than a month after the end of the return period. Second bad battery that I've received.

I ended up purchasing 2 of these batteries and neither of them lasted even 2 months. The first one stopped charging a few days after the return period ended (30-ish days) I ended up buying a 2nd in order to send the 1st back as I didn't hear back from the seller on the matter.The 2nd one lasted a whopping 2 weeks, and it failed in a odd way. The way the Dyson V7 turns on is the trigger pushes down a plastic rod and that presses in on another rod that's in the battery casing itself (You can see it on the top of the battery shaft when you remove it from your vacuum) So the actual "Switch" is in the battery itself.In case you ever try to test the battery outside of the vacuum and aren't getting a reading on a multimeter, it's because the contacts on the battery itself don't supply any power until the switch is pressed.Well my 2nd battery was put on the charger and it suddenly started running. I thought the trigger might have gotten stuck, but after a few whacks with a rubber mallet it seemed that wasn't the issue. So I grabbed my small screwdriver and quickly removed the 3 screws holding the battery in and yanked it out of the vacuum. I could immediately tell that something inside the battery had failed as it smelled horrible and was quite hot to the touch. I left it outside in my driveway on the concrete in case the batteries ended up catching fire.I messaged the seller yet again and explained all of this and they still haven't replied a year later.So don't waste your time or $ on this particular brand, find one that will actually respond to messages and sell a product that will last a lot longer than just the 30 day return period window.

Bought this hoping it would work, and it did not disappoint! My old one died suddenly, but I wasn’t sure if it was the charging cord or the battery, so I ordered this based on research. Works great!

If your Dyson stops charging, just buy the right battery, and swap it in for a new life. This is extremely easy to do and much less expensive buying the battery here on Amazon then directly from Dyson. It takes less than 10 minutes to do and it’s very simple.

This battery was easy to install and holds a charge well, providing more power than original battery. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the fit. It doesn't fit into the charger like the original battery. It takes a little bit of force to connect it. Hopefully this won't cause a problem over time.

This is garbage. I purchased this last fall to replace my factory Dyson batter. My Dyson battery was still working fine; but I believed that since this is a higher capacity battery, it would extend usage time/battery life. and I he first battery didn’t work. So they replaced it after a minor hassle.I was leaving for a trip so I never got to fully test the replacement battery. I think it worked initially, but I remember being very disappointed with its performance.I just now returned from my trip and wanted to run the vacuum today. However, the battery doesn’t work at all. It is fully charged—or should be because it has been on the charger. Does not work at all.Garbage garbage garbage.Two bad batteries? It’s certainly not my vacuum because my factory Dyson battery still works fine.Beware.

The media could not be loaded. My Dyson V7's that Ive had for over 5 yrs stopped charging and wouldn't run. It would also have a red light that would blink over 12 times. I looked into and found out I needed to replace my Battery. To order an Original was about $100. I found this one and it is higher Voltage then the original and better price. I've had no issues with it and it works great. It was easy to replace by unscrewing the old one with a screwdriver and replacing it with the new one. It also came with extra filters. You can def. tell it has more power. In the video when I first use it, it's on low. Next I switched over to Max. Definitely hoping I get as many years out of this one as I did the Original. If you need a replacement don't hesitate and buy it.

This battery arrived quickly, with instructions on how to exchange it on the vacuum. It was an easy task, and the battery fit the vacuum well - the screw holes lined up just fine. The charging port fits, but it's pretty tough to unplug the vacuum- I feel as if I'm going to break something with I go to pull it out of the wall mounted charging station. So far it hasn't broken, though, I've used it about 8 times since I bought the new battery. The vacuum had been lasting about 30 seconds tops on a charge with the old battery, and now lasts long enough for me to do my whole kitchen and dining area, as well as my hallway and a bedroom.
