Great lift kit. My 2006 4Runner is 2wd with the Xreas suspension. I installed it by myself with just basic tools and a floor jack in 3.5 hours. Having 14mm and 17mm ratcheting box wrenches would have saved me at least 20 minutes. There was a lot of YouTube videos being watched before performing this automotive surgery and the best way to do this lift is to unbolt the lower control arm from the spindle and let it swing down. Coil compressors are not even close to being needed by going this route. The whole operation was very straight forward and somewhat easy, just time consuming. I'm glad I went with this kit instead of a 3inch due to the upper control arm angle. This is the way the 4Runner should come from the factory. Not too big or too small, plenty of ground clearance on 32's. Good luck and have fun getting dirty, cheers!

I put this on my '07 4runner. Install took about 4 hours I believe. I have had this kit on my truck for over a year now and have had no issues whatsoever. It was a very straightforward installation with average tools. I installed both front and back spacers, because I wanted to be able to carry gear and tow without the back sagging below level. The truck sits and rides exactly like stock, just 2.5" higher up. I was able to fit up to 265/75 17 tires on my truck without issue. I had the tires before the lift, but do to my offset wheels, I rubbed the inner fender liner a little.This kit increased my wheel gap nicely and offered a much better stance than stock. If I had to do it over again I might go just a little bigger. If you just look at my truck, it is hard to tell it has a lift on it, but put two side by side and it is quite obvious mine is taller. The toyota corolla has more wheel gap than a stock 4runner!!My wife has an identical 4runner twin, and she actually likes driving mine more because this lift gives it a more truck-like feel and it seems to drive nicer than stock.

Great kit. Easy too install. Able to clear 285/70/r17 tires.

Installed on a 2003 4runner. Front end fought me really hard. Had just installed new shocks and struts 6 months back so they were still very stiff and did not want to compress. Rears took 30 minutes for both with a set of spring compressors. Stupid simple design which I appreciate. Make sure to get an alignment afterwords

Wow, amazing value, and what a difference. Blacked out the wheels at the same time, total game changer. Install on the front was 3 hrs, about 30 min on the back. The hard line brake lines off the caliper I didn't bolt back the keeper bracket so I didn't crimp. I hope that is OK. Per specs will check all bolts after 500 miles.Very satisfied value and look.

I've only had this kit installed a little over a week now and I love it!First off, you can't beat the price. I paid $150 for a 2.5"/1.5" lift. Don't think there is a better deal out there.Installation was straight forward and quick and easy. I think most people report about a 4 hour install time on these. My dad and I, who are both fairly mechanically inclined people, did it in 3 hours and, if we had to do another one, could probably do it in 2.The look was exactly what I wanted, especially after the 32" tires were installed.The ride quality is factory! I spoke to somebody who had the older kit with the pre-load aluminum spacer and he reported a rougher ride, but these poly spacers make for a great ride.So far so good. If there is anything new to report, I'll update this review, but so far, I couldn't be happier.

I have a 4runner 2006 and i ordered this because i was looking forward to lift my truck 2.5"After installing this i found the truck was looking weird and had one more issue, i was not able to get a fully alignment on the truck. This is weird because the factory upper arm controller is supposed to work just fine with 2.5"Well, i went to the shop yesterday and decided to take them out, i took some measurements of the front spacer that DayStar send to me and for my surprised the spaced is actually 1.5" instead of 1.25"They should have sent me a 1.25" front spacer which would have gimme a 2.5" lift after installation. But actually they sent me a 1.5" front spacer which provides a 3" lift after installation. This explains why i was not able to get the truck fully align with the factory upper arm controllers.1 star because of this, garbage.

I received this lift kit super quick. Very impressed with the purchase. Had a local shop install it. Works great. Eventually I will upgrade the suspension to an actual coilover kit with new shocks/springs, but for now this is great. My one CV did start leaking after the install which is common. All in all very impressed and good bang for the buck.

Have had these in for 5 years no issues. They work.

Good lift kit. Fit to my 4Runner 2005. Take 7.5 hours for installation because all bolts are rusty. After that just did alignment. Better if you pay mechanic for installation. but I liked the result

I ordered this kit 3 times. All 3 kits came with no hardware in the box. It is supposed to come with stud extenders. Without the hardware this kit is useless. Now I won’t have my 4Runner done in time for the trip I have planned because I have to source a lift from somewhere else.
