Good Brace, Fussy Puppy
The brace does a good job in supporting, and definitely help our bernese mountain pups front ankle that he was favoring after a sprain. It fit well and he seemed comfortable, and definitely walked better with it on. That being said, a fussy one year only pup can pull the brace out of position easily, and left unattended will definitely treat it like a chew toy, so in our case it required supervision and regular re-adjusting. It definitely has the right construction to do what it is supposed to do, and for a less fussy/older dog would be ideal. (If we had been willing to put the cone of shame on our pup I'm sure we would have gotten better use of it too.) Thanks!

I should have bought it sooner!
A size medium fit my dogs “ ankle” perfectly. I thought it might be too small since she’s considered a large dog at 65 lbs of muscle but I trusted the size guide measurements. It really helped with her broken leg. TheSupport really helped her healing. It was very easy to put on and remove. She would get excited when I put it on her because she knew we would be going to the dog park where she could run, wrestle and play with her buddies. Without it she would come home limping after the 8 week healing period for the bone break. She only had to use it for about 2 1/2 weeks after the 8 week healing period. It was very easy to clean. Just rinsed it with water and liquid soap. Great item for a good price!

Great Concept, But.....
I REALLY needed this to work for my elderly border collie with arthritis pain in his front leg knee joint. Compression would offer him some relief, plus help avoid hyperextension. The problem we had was that the top elastic/velcro part that wraps around to secure the top end, doesn't secure the neoprene in place, and so the neoprene part slides down BELOW the elastic, which renders it's purpose useless... the neoprene is then gaping "open" (not secured beneath the velcro strap). Many reviewers said the velcro is too strong - I disagree. It's fine. It's normal velcro, with normal gripping, and it was not too difficult to attach or to remove. To avoid hurting your dog while taking the velcro strap off - hold the neoprene against your dog's leg with one hand, firmly, and THEN remove the velcro strap. Problem solved. :)We continue to use this as it's better than nothing, but it slides down the leg easily, and we have to constantly adjust it - and that IS causing him discomfort (he doesn't want us touching it). The good news is that I think I know how to overcome the problems we encountered, and we are making one from scratch on our own (thankfully I sew).I would not say "don't buy it" - because it IS better than no support at all - I just think the design is somewhat flawed.

Review
I got this for my dog as she is a front leg amputee and only has one front leg so I thought I would get her brace to support her leg. This one is very flimsy and it does move up and down. It doesn’t stay in one place. I only use it a few times and never touched it again.

I wouldn’t recommend.
Does not allow room for the dogs carpal pad. It would not stay up on my dogs leg. She is 18 pounds with a diameter of 2” leg/ paw. Xxs/xs. I wouldn’t recommend this item. Also, no metal or stabilizer rods like others.
