I am so impressed with Prepac. Not knowing who they are, and considering the lower prices compared to other brands, I did not expect such quality.Now I know who they are. Their plant is in British Columbia, Canada. What a treat. Not made in China.Of course, it is mostly MDF construction, but a high quality MDF. Better yet, the drawer sides which hold most of the stress of holding the drawers together are actually made of real wood. The drawer runners are steel with rollers. No sticking drawers. The drawers open almost all the way, unlike some furniture that only opens half way because they are cheaply made without steel tracks for support.Prepacs only downfall may come from within. The top of one piece had damage that could only have happened in the plant. Being extremely well packed and no damage to the cartons in shopping, I was shocked when I removed the heavy corner protector and found the corner broken, plus scratches on the top itself. I was short four pieces of hardware on the other dresser which prevented me from finishing the last drawer front. By the way, I bought two (2) of these dressers.I filled out an on-line claim form for the replacement parts. Within an hour, I had an automated response, assuring me they received it. By the next morning, I had a promise of shipping withing two days. I received a personally written email from customer service telling me what they were doing to make it all right.As I said, I bought two of these dressers, thinking that if it turns out to be "cheap stuff" I could return one. I had no trouble deciding to keep them both and assembly was easy. Someone said it took them eleven hours to assemble one piece. I had easy to follow instructions and both dressers together were finished in 3 to 4 hours.I give Prepac a solid 5 stars for quality, 5 stars for customer service, and 4.5 stars for quality control.

This is a really nice piece, and I'm happy with it. I needed something thin and tall for my youngest son's room with a neutral design that would look nice no matter what else we put in there. We like the drawer handles, the subtle texture on the outside of the dresser, and the small drawer on top that's perfect for socks. It's a very heavy but sturdy piece of furniture that took two of us 3.5 hours to assemble. I had to bribe my oldest son to help when I realized I couldn't do it alone.

This is a well built, sturdy, heavy piece of furniture. You can definitely tell it is made of MDF, but the appearance and solidness makes it doable. I would have given 5 stars, but the way it arrived had me a little nervous on whether or not I would have to return it. First of all, the box was damaged upon arrival. I opened the box, and it looked the the protective styrofoam had exploded or possibly melted. It was stuck to the pieces in different places. I had to scrape it off. Also, a couple of the pieces were damaged and I honestly couldn't tell if it was the styrofoam, or if the veneer had chipped off in a couple of places. Luckily I had some wood markers and was able to touch up the spots and it looks good, but not the best. You would have to look very hard to find the imperfections.Putting it together was no problem, you just have to take your time and read and assemble as you go. It's like wood cutting, measure twice, cut once. Read the instructions twice (or more) and go along as they suggest.Hope this helps, would I buy it again, Yes.

This dresser is just gorgeous and very classy. It took me a little bit to build, but I am woman in my late 50's and I did it by myself. The finish is gorgeous, and all the drawers work perfectly. Great value for the money - I see this definitely lasting. No funny smells or oddities. Absolutely recommend this dresser. The smaller top drawer even has a fabric lining, like a higher end piece would.

None of the cabinet or drawer parts come labeled making assembling very difficult.

I purchased this chest for storage in my study. Package is very heavy so will take two to move. I unpacked and took the parts to my study and assembled. There are quite a few screws and parts to assemble but instructions are straight forward. Everything assembled just fine but took me time spanning two days. It's not something you'll want to assemble in one setting (at least I didn't anyway :-) Drawer hardware is very good and the sides of the drawers are (actual) wood. Fit and finish is very good.

Once assembled, this looks nice and seems sturdy. My one criticism of the assembled product is that the sides of the drawers are only half the depth of the drawer; storage capacity could have been more if their depth was the size of the space.As for assembly, it's tedious since you're assembling 5 drawers in addition to the chest. But the instructions for assembly are decent and fairly straightforward. The frustration of the assembly was not with the instructions or design, per se. But the parts are not labelled. So, even though the instructions show them as parts A, B, C etc, most of the items aren't labelled. NONE of the hardware is labelled, and most of it came in one bag, all jumbled together. And given that the instructions sometimes tell you to use the "blue" or "green" version of a similar piece of hardware, this assembly might be difficult for someone who is colorblind.Finally, and perhaps most importantly, it was MISSING HARDWARE. I was able to scrounge parts to put it together (because that seemed easier than packing it up for return!) but it would be nice if all the parts were included!

Clean looking, well made unit that's quite solid given it's size. The shipping box is heavy to move around for one person. Directions were easy to follow.Requires a Phillips head screwdriver and hammer to assemble.It can be built by one person but two people make the job go faster and easier.Given it's height and small footprint I would definitely fasten it to the wall if used in a child's room.More substantial than similar Ikea units. Most of the construction is particle board although the sides of the drawers are wood.

Absolutely adore my little dresser. It’s very sturdy and stylish! The only complaint I have is that the drawers are very tall but don’t go back very far (they’re a little shallow) so you can’t fit much in terms of clothes but still a nice piece! It took awhile to assemble but worth it!

Looks great. Modern, clean design. A fresh white with nice silver tea cup handles. Slim and perfect height so as not to take up room in the bedroom. The drawers slide open and close easily. There is just enough room in the drawers for one person's items. Easy enough for 1 person to put together but very heavy to carry the box in.

Did not receive them. Told they were damaged and unshippable. Did get refund however. Disappointed because exactly what I was looking for

We were looking for a smaller dresser for one of our bedrooms. When we found this product, it fit all our requirements.
