These are amazing at killing deer flys.

It's spring time in buggy muggy Florida. The biting yellow flies (flying teeth)are due in any day now. So in preparation for their arrival, I've done as I have the past few years and purchased these balls placing themin their sunny/shadowy location. Look closely and you will see the smaller blood sucking relatives that have been caught since yesterday. Now my only problem is that out of the set of 3 two were fine but one had a thin spot that once inflated and coated developed a bubble which subsequently burst. Being a sticky messI just threw it away which is the only reason I gave 4 stars. Buy em so we can reduce Floridas' vampires.

I’ve had it out all summer & zero bugs have been caught

I live next to a preserve and the yellow flies are awful this year. This photo is after one day. I ended up putting all three up after seeing this and after a couple weeks there are way more on it. I did have to reapply some of the sticky spray because the balls had dirt and other debris on them making them less sticky but could care less as long as it keeps working. Would highly recommend!

Every May and September the horse flies are horrible. Like chase you in the house invade your car horrible.Ever since we got these balls that is not the case. They may hit you in the backyard one or two at a time but nothing makes it to the front yard affecting the car and front door. We clean the balls with baby oil to get the corpses off and ready for the next season. Then we recoat for May and then September. Everytime they get so covered with deer fly bodies! They truly work wonderfully. Reducing the amout that hound you to a manageable amount.Ball about 17"

This is the second year that I have purchased and used these balls… inflating them and coating them with the Tangle Trap brush on sticky coating. I am very disappointed in the quality/integrity of the balls this year. IF they’d stay inflated, they would be awesome here in the southeastern area of Georgia for controlling yellow flies, etc. The one remains ball has dozens of bugs on it.VERY DISAPPOINTED and unlikely to purchase again.
