Grip Rite PTN3S5 5 lb Number-2 Phillips Bugle Head Prime Guard Exterior Screw, 3"

The only thing I don't like about these are that they are Phillips head screws. I can't fault the product because it is a Phillips head screw. I just prefer either square or torq head screws because they drive easer with impact wrenches. Other than that these are great screws. They are boxed nicely in a good cardboard box that is strong. Nothing like having a cardboard box that falls apart on you. I don't think this one will.

I was repairing a lot of fascia boards and decking that 2x lumber and the 2-1/2” screws I had just weren’t long enough to get a grip that was good enough to pull out some of the warping. Using these screws did the job by pre-drilling the hole and then adding some torque took out most of the warp. These go for about eight fifty a pound at the home center so paying about 20-bucks for a 5=pound box seemed like a pretty good deal. They solved my problems and I doubt that I’ll ever use nails in this hot desert sun again just to watch them slowly be pulled out.

Going for a five star review cause of the good price, but the exterior coating on these screws would make me hestiant to use on the 25 year decking. They know coating isn't the greatest either, as ten year warranty doesn't apply "within 5 miles of coastline.". Still they are priced right and would, (and have), recommended them to others.

I buy these screws for almost all my outdoor woodworking projects, they are coated for longevity and grab the wood nicely. I was able to buy these here on Amazon for a steal of price on a one time purchase, I will defiantly be looking at these for that speaciL price again

About 1/4 to 1/3 of the screws were 2 1/2", the box was supposed to be all 3" screws. Noticed halfway through box, not sure how much of the fence I was building had the wrong size screws installed because these were packaged wrong.

Great valve compared to local stores and is a good decking screws.

I was looking for screws like this at Home Depot and found some - for $9 more per 5 lb box! Same item, just better price.
