What a drag... :)
Works to create drag and resistance in the water, so it does what you expect it to. Works like you expect for a swim parachute. Once pulled tight, you can just make a quick square not with the excess strap to prevent slippage and loosening. If you want some extra resistance occasionally, this is another swim tool to add to your bag.

Makes training fun
Our kids are on the swim team and many of their teammates training with this type of chute. It helps build strength and coordination. The rope is long enough to trail behind without getting tangled up. The chute provides enough resistance to create a challenge.

Definitely adds resistance, but easy to get caught in legs
If you're goal is resistance, this certainly works and it's well made and it should last a while. I tried this and had a friend try as well. The thing we didn't like was that our legs would catch in the strap from time to time or would rub the strap while we were kicking. I don't have any idea how/if that could be modified. It definitely create noticeable resistance and requires more power to move, which is it's purpose.

After 50 yards, I have no plans to use it ever again
Similar products had plenty of good reviews and I have had good luck with Sporti products in the past, but not this time. The waist belt doesn't cinch so I had to make multiple passes through the buckle to keep it from coming undone. That also made it harder to adjust. I tried the trail line anchored on the back of the belt and then on the front (underside) and neither made a difference. The parachute didn't drag evenly behind me, it moved around quite a bit, requiring me to alter my kick. A training device that makes you compromise your form isn't a good training device in my book so, this is never going to the pool again.

Nice parachute, but tie the strap on
This parachute worked well for me once I figured out that the belt clip won't hold the belt tight. I followed the directions to tighten the belt around my waist, then bundled up the loose end under the elastic band. It seemed fine until I started swimming. Within 2 strokes the belt had come completely loose and was around my ankles. It wasn't that big of a deal, I just put an overhand knot in the belt just past the buckle and that held it just fine.
