This could have been 5 stars, but for what I mentioned below. The cage, once assembled, is a good investment for the money. My husband is handy with tools and such, so after a little figuring out, he put the cage together, to make it more secure he used 2 wrenchs to tighten the screws so the cage was then sturdy, if you just use your thumbs to do the tighteing, it could be less stable, and not fit as nicley on the top and sides. Some people said they used zip ties, but we did not need them, because of the method of tightening the scews, thats all that was necessary. The Seller would be wise to include instructions that actually tells you what to put together first and so on, just having a diagram of parts is not much help. Another improvement would for the front large door to have a spring latch, the latch it has now is Micky Mouse and does not even sit straight on the bars.

Overall this is a good cage for the price. It looks really nice once you put it together. You will need to use your brain, as the instructions are missing some steps and for those who are not handy, there may be some difficulties with assembling it. The cage is made of black w/silver speckled metal, but the hardware sent to me was gold tone. The bottom tray is made of thin plastic, not very durable in my opinion but not too bad either. The dowels are for a medium to large bird, about 1" in diameter and are too long for the top opening (mine are about 4"-5" longer than the opening allows). Some of the parts were slightly bent (possibly from handling), but was easily straightened out. Once the cage was put together, it was fairly sturdy, but I will be securing it with some cable ties in a few places, just to make sure it stays together for good. Also, if you're thinking to get this cage for a smaller bird, keep in mind that the feeding cups are pretty deep and you may need to replace them with the shallower ones (Petco sells metal cups for parakeets that fit well instead of the original cups that come with this cage). My birdie seems content in this cage, and I'm satisfied with my purchase.

You definitely can’t find cheaper cage for the money. Quality is much better than expected.I have another cage, the same size, different brand, but expensive one - $250, which is heavier and maybe a little stronger than this one, but I can definitely say that I love this cage!Some reviews says it’s flimsy and structurally not sturdy, but take a little more time for assembling - make sure you fasten all bolts and nuts tight enough, and then you’ll get great result as I did. I spent around 1 hour for assembly with no rush.

It’s fine if you use zip ties and aren’t really too fond of your bird. Would work for a bird who doesn’t climb cage or try to stick their head through the bars. Real flimsy and a pain to put together. Cheap emergency cage. Not for the long term.

I may have received an irregular product because the positive reviews on here make no sense. Bought this a little over a year ago. I did not have instructions OR parts to attach the cage to the base! I ended up attaching it with heavy-duty zip ties.About four months ago, I came home from work and went into my 2nd bedroom to visit my conure and cockatiel. The cockatiel's cage was empty! The bottom of this cheap, flimsy cage didn't meet all around and she had managed to sneak out of the bottom and get out. She was up on the curtain rod. However, she'd spent time walking around during the day and got behind the bookcase and ate through a wire to the cable box.She was fine -- I don't know how, but AT&T had to come out to repair my cable and all my late-night TVrecordings were gone. I bought Bibi a Pet Prevue cage for $157 that I'm putting together today. It has seed guards which was another con of this cage. She makes a big mess on the carpeting with her birdseed. This feels like the real deal.I really did not have money to invest in yet a second bird cage for this sweet bird but am kind of looking at it as a Happy Birthday present since she hatched May 10, 2017 and I got her two months later. You can see her if you do a search of Bibi Ramsey on YouTube. Most cockatiels don't talk but she's a little ham!

This is not a large parrot cage but a great med to small . My conure has enough room to play while inside and the top opens so she plays outside when she wants . I didn’t get very good instructions but managed to put it together quickly the feeding cups are too big for her but she manages just fine . It’s a nice looking cage . My only regret is the top is domed so I can’t add too much for her to play with , but birds like too hang out other places so I added another separate play gym for her

Overall, for the price, the cage is nice. It arrived with shipping damages which could have been avoided if packaged more carefully, but their customer service was great in remedying the issue. The top perch is VERY unstable. Going to have to be creative in making the perch stay put. Also the bowls are too deep. Half the size would've sufficed. I'm using her smaller bowls instead. I'll be adding a rope perch & a snuggler to make it more cozy & comfortable. For a temporary/travel cage for my yellow nape, who spends most of her time outside, it'll work.

My Indian Ringneck loves this cage. Putting it together was a little confusing due to the similar pieces but, we (my bird and I) had it together in about five minutes. The whole cage rolls, making this perfect for around the house. It is big enough for two Ringnecks im sure, my girl has plenty of room to move around inside. The only reason for not giving this five stars is due to the material. It feels a little flimsy and bending even a little feels like its going to break. Overall, we are very happy with the purchase!
