Fingers happier
Got one of those slicers/dicer things and even with being what I though was being careful still ended up with bandages on my fingers. Bought these and so far so good. Fingers much happier.

Works well, passed the carrot test
Stuck a carrot in there, bang the knife around a bit and tried to slice it - didn't cut through. I was worried by some of the 1 star reviews. Works great for avoiding knicks when carving meats.

Not what I expected.
I bought these for use with a mandolin slicer. I suppose they help, but I noticed nicks in them.

Won't protect your hands from hardly a thing!
I have rubber gardening gloves that protect my hands better than these. In fact, I gave mine to my wife for gardening. These are worthless.
