I’d buy it again
The only thing I don’t like about it is that the lanyard ring broke the first day I got it (cause my phone was in my back pocket when I sat down) & that it doesn’t float haha

I really likes the idea of a built in solar panel even though it is unnecessary unless you are stranded
I have been searching for a very durable charge case for the iphone 7 and this was about my only choice. I really likes the idea of a built in solar panel even though it is unnecessary unless you are stranded. Upon getting the case, It was a lot bigger than I expected which was not a problem to me. I slipped my phone into it and it latched well with a well designed locking mechanism. The phone seemed to be slightly loose in the case. The first thing I noticed it it is difficult to scroll because the screen protector seems too far from the screen and was very difficult to press small buttons in the corner. The sound quality is not very distorted which was great but nobody could hear me on the phone. Also, it may have slightly screwed with my reception. Whenever the solar panel was exposed to the sun it would charge my phone and stop repeatedly i guess to use power cause the backup battery was fully charged. Sometimes the battery would not charge my phone when I pressed the button but then it would start when I exposed it to sun. It all went downhill when I was showing it to my friend and put it at the bottom of a fountain. Although the case seemed very sealed and secure, a large amount of water immediately got into it, breaking the case and making my phone so it does not charge anymore. The case was ruined by water and caused my phone to be ruined too. It is an iphone 7 so I thought it would be ok with a little water but it still broke. The case is a fantastic idea but needs a complete redesign and I would very much like a refund and one of the cases when they are hopefully redesigned. I owned it for a little over a week before it broke. That week though, I felt very safe with my phone because the shock proofing it amazing with this case but that is about the only pro.

Lots of juice, waterproof but with issues
The case is heavy and very large in relation to the iPhone 7. Because of the rised edge of the case around the screen area, it is difficult to type or use the screen at the edges, the larger the fingers the more difficult it is.The case comes with a neck strap and a lanyard ring built in, however they are not designed in relation to the weight of the case. I bought the case for a trip to the seaside and forests of Colombia. In the first use, I was in the front of the boat with 1 meter high waves, so it was bouncing a lot and I had my phone on the case with the strap around the neck, first the strap became loose from the metal brace because the manufacture of the strap is poor (see photo), then I tied the strap with a knot to the lanyard ring and in another jump the ring broke (see picture). Clearly the design of the lanyard ring is not up to the specks of the case, giving the misleading impression that it is as rugged as the phone. I was lucky I didn't loose the phone, so don't trust your phone to the strap or ring. The case is water tight, no problem there. I was snorkelling in the surface for an hour and didn't get any water in, however, unlike a flexible phone dry bag I have, the screen is unresponsive when the Snow lizard is wet, so I had to dry my fingers on the surface, select photo and take the pictures with the volume button, or select video above the water and start recording before submerging. You have to push the buttons hard to change the volume. There is no earphone adaptor, so if you want to use them, you have to open the case, which is easy. The battery lasts forever, so I never ran out of juice with GPS apps and camera running, and the case itself is sturdy, so it is up to the task of the most rugged activity.Because I do not live in the US sending the case for warranty and receiving it back would be too expensive, so I have not contacted the company, therefore I can't talk about the customer service.I will keep using the camera for field work, but I guess I wouldn't buy it again, I would probably get a smaller rugged waterproof case and a waterproof solar battery bank which have similar capacity and are as efficient (or not) charging the phone, which would also serve to charge other devices. But for some people this may not be as practical and the case would be a better one unit option, again depending on the activity you will use it for either option would be best.

Great case
Love this case, has been fantastic for my son as he is rough on phones! Snow lizard, please reach out as I would like to get a replacement piece for the case, the piece pictured in the photo… The two clips have broken.

Hard Pass
While the case is about the largest I've ever had for a phone, the size didn't bother me. It was difficult for people to hear me on phone conversations, so I found myself constantly sliding the phone out of the case to talk to people. Just a few days after putting this into service, one of the bottom plastic clasps that secures the bottom section onto the case, broke, as I was opening the case to take a phone call. It looks like the clasps could've been made with aluminum and given how easily/quickly it broke, perhaps they should have?Snow Lizard took the return, but required that I fill out written forms and pay for shipping back to their Michigan location. The replacement case they sent literally broke in the exact same way, the very first time I attempted to open it to put my phone in it. I almost thought they sent me my other case back. At that point, I determined this just wasn't going to be a product I had any interest in spending any more time on.When I did use the case, I found the battery life to be average compared to my previous Mophie case on my 6S. I found the solar panel did nothing noticeable to charge or maintain the battery, even when riding on my dashboard in direct sunlight for several hours. I leave open the possibility that I'm just not a good user for this case and that perhaps I don't know my own strength and just go around breaking some things and this case happens to be one of them...although I didn't have that issue with previous Mophies or Otter Boxes.
