Only time will tell how long it lasts but it appears well made and the wife says the car is much quieter!!!

Amazon said this didn't fit my van. It does. 2008 Chrysler town and country touring. It does not include the resonator part. Works great so far. A lot quieter than the leaking one lol

So I don’t know how I was expecting this to be shipped, but I came home from work one day to find this laying on my front steps with a FedEx sticker slapped on it. Was it shipped damaged or was it damaged during shipping? Who knows. It does look like Smokin’ Joe Frazier used it as a heavy bag though. Probably the nature of the beast and why you might want to consider picking up locally. Nonetheless it looked structurally sound. Installation was not too bad. I would warn however that this is probably meant to be installed in conjunction with the Walker resonator because the egress on this was 2.5in as was the existing resonator pipe. Picked up an adapter at the local auto parts store for a few bucks. So far so good. The original muffler had split at the weld seam, so this is much quieter. How long this holds up, I don’t know.

Purchased this with the resonator 53749 and two clamps 35336, 35337. Unbelievably, Chrysler smartly clamped the cat to the muffler so that a replacement can be installed without welding, cutting, etc. OR you think so...1) While cold, spray penetrating oil on cat-to-muffler clamp nut (if possible, soak a few days ahead and don't catch yourself on fire ding-dong)2) Undo clamp nut at cat-to-muffler joint3) Cut resonator off behind rear axle and remove both resonator and muffler (spray penetrating oil on rubber hangers to make that easier)4) Most likely you'll need to cut the muffler off NEAR (not at) the cat joint because the parts will be rusted together - more power to ya if you can separate the muffler5) Align and bolt it all back together using the OEM hangers and purchased clampsThe clamps I bought will work for most applications but my advice is to buy 2 1/2 inch band clamps to properly seal the joint from the cat to the muffler. With the clamps I purchased, it was difficult

once I got the old stuff off went on in about 1/2 hr.probably about ten minutes if I had it on lift.just make sure you order (1) 2 1/4 AND (1) 2 1/2 inch clamp I ordered 2 2 1/4 clamps luckily I checked before install.

The only thing that makes me give 4 stars instead of 5 is because the back pipe that connects with the resonator is the same size as the resonator pipe, so, you have to buy and pipe adapter and clamps to install it.The front connection is perfect, only the rear one is messed.

If buying a muffler do price this out across the major sites before buying as the prices change wildly. At the time of purchase this supplier was the cheapest being nearly $600 less than Dodge's price for the exact same unit. Stay away from Speedy Muffler and get an independent shop to fit this on to save on install costs (best done around inspection time for those provinces/states that require re-occurring inspection). Installed on a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan with the 3.3L Flex. It may not be labeled as a performance high flow variety but this one performs quite good for flow and VERY well for noise abatement/neighbourhood civility.
