Good, but requires software to install
My daily driver mouse is a Logitech M720. I bought this USB receiver after losing my previous one somewhere in a hospital. The dongle arrived quickly. However, because you need the LogiOptions+ application, I didn't get to set up my mouse until I had some free time on my home computer. It's worth checking to determine if your mouse or keyboard has a Bluetooth function in the meantime. The application has both a Windows and Mac download, which is nice. No Linux option, unfortunately. LogiOptions+ allows you to change the speed of the cursor, bind new keys, change scroll settings, etc.Of course, I later found my lost USB receiver anyway, but because my mouse has multiple receiver compatibility, I'm happy to keep it as a backup.

Works just as the original
Bought mine over a year now when I lost the one that came with my mouse. It has been serving pretty well. Worked well with my mouse, just as the original would work. Once you have the Logitech software, it’s easy to setup after that it’s basically plug and play. Very small design so it might be easy to lose however it stores in the mouse just as the original would.

Never worked. Not compatible
This receiver didn't work from day one. I had bought a Logitech MK850 keyboard and mouse combo whose receiver stopped working, very early on, within the time of purchasing my combo. I was working from home and couldn't find info on Logitech website about how to get a new receiver so I decided it would be faster and quicker to receive it, if I ordered it here on Amazon, seeing I couldn't find info readily on Logitech's website. I received the receiver and went to use it but noticed that it didn't fit snug into my USB port, on my computer. I then noticed that the receiver is shorter than the original receiver, the width of it, inside is smaller, and it doesn't have an orange piece inside, it's black. It almost got stuck in my new computer. I am now stuck and can't use the keyboard and mouse because I can't find the right unifying receiver I need. I logged onto Logitech's website, and it wasn't too much help. See photos for differences. In1st photo the one I purchase here is at the bottom (the shorter one) In the 2nd photo the one to to the left is the one I purchased. You see it is hollower inside and doesn't have that orange piece that they say should be inside a Logitech unifying receiver.

Works for me!
It served my purpose for My laptop as an external Bluetooth tooth dongle instead of the built-in Bluetooth

Solid product, minorly confusing setup
Works clearly and easily upon setup, only complaint is that the instructions on the package were not in english and the link it tells to visit does not work. If you're confused, just look up USB reciever in the logitech downloads section of their website and install the reciever program.

Works with older equipment, just needs Logitech Unifying Software
Just wanted to put in a good review for this receiver. I have some older equipment, a K330 keyboard and an M310 mouse. Running Windows 10. Initially, the product didn't work - neither the mouse nor the keyboard wanted to pair. One of the reviews here recommended googling "Logitech Unifying Software download," which suggests several download sites with version 2.52.33 of the Unifying Software. A quick install later, the software walks you through pairing of the keyboard and the mouse and both work flawlessly. Great product, just needs an extra step.

Doesn't Deserve 1 star
I ordered this because I misplaced a UBS receiver that came with a keyboard & mouse combo. This unifying USB receiver would not connect to my mouse, which I needed immediately for work. Spent about an hour trouble-shooting with Logitech Support (redoing all the same steps I had already taken). When support realized that their product wasn't working, the tech looked for any possible way to deny a refund. He scrutinized the mouse and keyboard and said the problem was my mouse and the combo set was out of warranty. Few days later I found the original USB receiver and both keyboard & mouse work perfectly, but the new "unifying receiver" still does NOT. So what is the real problem here? Logitech lied in the description saying its compatible with any Logitech device having the star logo symbol. When I started troubleshooting with the tech said my mouse serial number was supported. This was a valuable $15 lesson, I will never buy from Logitech again. I mean seriously, their crappy receiver didn't work so instead of a refund they looked for any excuse to not do the right thing. IF Logitech is in that much financial trouble that they cannot refund me, then it doesn't surprise me that their products don't work.
