Cute, get the size for your kid's head
These are pretty cute. I don't know about their crash rating, as I've luckily not used it. This is a panda shell over several inches of styrofoam. Enough to absorb one hit, and should be replaced immediately afterwards. The panda ears fold during impact (according to manufacturer). The outer layer is shiny and durable and held up well under the Texas sun for a season (looks brand new still). The ventilation is OK, since the panda shell covers most of the product. There are still 3 air holes. The adjustment comes with chin straps, and also a twist in the back. Both work well. Be sure to measure your kid's head and get the right size -- not too large / small.

Cutest helmet of all time.
The media could not be loaded. Omg...this is perfect. The ability to adjust the helmet at the base of the skull is very helpful. My daughter has a small head and this fits wonderfully. She is so happy. Also, the ears move!!! 🐻 It is very well made. Definitely worth the money.

Cute BUT flimsy
Super cute!! I was initially cautious of the material being flimsy and flexible — it didn’t seem like it was a solid helmet like I was expecting. The plastic bear head has some give when I pushed on it. I assume it’s because the infant size needs to be lightweight to not be too heavy for the baby. My baby is not doing extreme sports so it’s fine for the application.

Recommend- sturdy and attractive
This was purchased for our 18mo child who is in the 80th % for head circumference and it fits well with some room to grow.As other reviewers have stated, the bear is like a flimsy false-front attached to the helmet. The helmet itself seems sturdy enough however. It is a bit heavy for our 18mo's head, however not to the point that she complains and I'd rather have a heavy-duty helmet than something so lightweight it won't do its job.She doesn't like hats or hairclips so of course she'd rather not wear a helmet, but she doesn't seem to protest more than any other hair accessory and once it's on, she forgets about it and is fine.We use this primarily for when she's in her bicycle carriage on family bike rides, so she doesn't walk around with it on much. Not sure how comfortable it would be for that.Overall, it seems pretty well made and is very adorable.

Super Cute!
These character helmets are so cute. My son(s) always get a bunch of looks and "awwe"s when we're going for a bike ride. Only problem is that by 2yo, it's already getting snug. I was hoping they'd at least be able to wear them when they're 3, to get more of my money's worth. Had to go buy my 3yo a new helmet though, no way he was fitting in this still. 1-2yo though, fits well.

A little flimsy but so cute!
Generously sized, this firefighter bike helmet was the perfect gift for my 3 year old. It's more than adequate in circumference and the straps are even a little big.. plus, it's a fire helmet! We bought this not quite 3 months ago, in July. It saw regular usage through the summer; if not daily then every other day or so. Unfortunately, it has cracked and chipped along the top ridges (see picture).Maybe this was to be expected with a little future fireman using it not only for bike rides but also for rescuing stuffed animals around the house... but it's still a little disappointing :(I really don't think that the actual integrity of the helmet is compromised from the missing pieces and am guessing it's merely an aesthetic issue. Hopefully it won't continue to crack and break and we can get a few more months out of it!
