Well designed, robust, sturdy, strong & reliable
I'm chuffed with this box. At Christmas I heavily decorate my home with lights. Christmas '21 I had five seperate DriBox' s out the front for lots and lots of lights. I've tested this and I could say it's far superior to a Dribox. But it is double in price. But I'm happy with that as I think it's worth it. It is extremely robust and solid. It's completely watertight. The rubber gaskets are removable but fit in the slots securely. They envelope the cable through it to form a tight seal.ive cmgot different guages of cable too, it even manages my thickest cable. Unlike the DriBox the cable clamps do not come out, which is much more convenient and these hold the cables in place very securely. So when you're setting it up everything stays in place and you don't have to fight with all the cables whilst you put the lid on.With regards to the lid I love how the four sides are secured. The clips are strong and I'm confident they'll last years and years. The lid goes on really easily. I like how the lid is shaped to allow water run off.The four capsules supplied are not quite big enough for my set up but I can see they're perfectly watertight and robust too.

Well designed and plenty of outlets
The overall construction is firm, but easily distorted. Too early to say about waterproofing, but the seals look good. There are a series of strengthening ribs on the inside that intrude quite a bit and means that despite the outer size, the interior is smaller than you expect. That aside, the enclosure and included cable joint casings are pretty good value. I like the fact that it has a catch on all four sides instead of just one. The lid comes off completely, which also allows better internal access.

Practical dry box with extra small boxes to cover outside extension lead connections
This outdoor safe electrical cover box has space inside to comfortably accommodate a 4-socket extension board The box itself is almost entirely made from plastic, with rubbery, silicone covers over outlets/inlets for electrical cabling that conform neatly to the cables without leaving gaps. There are 4 of these cable holders along one of the long edges, and one each at the shorter edges of the box. The box fastens on all 4 sides by means of large, plastic clips.Unlike another brand’s version of a dry box this doesn’t have a silicone seal around the edge where the lid and base join together, however I’m reasonably satisfied that this closes properly. I’ve had this in use for nearly a month and there has been no sign of water ingress on the days when it has rained. The extension cable covers are a really useful addition – though none of them is big enough to accommodate a larger, transformer-backed plug.

Hinges are weak and it is too expensive
This review is for the RESTMO Outdoor Electrical Box (12.5 x 8.5 x 5 inch), Extra Large Waterproof Plug Box with 4 Small Weatherproof Extension Cord Cover, Ideal to Protect Extension Lead, Power Strip, Timer Outlet, Black (Black)£29.99 at the time of review. The main box is large, but I have a few 4 socket extension leads which won’t fit into the box. These ones all have a piece at the entry point of the cable where you can either unscrew the plate to detach/replace the cable, or it holds the electronics for surge protection etc. If your extension is a simple 4 socket or under box with nothing fancy, then it should fit. The plastic is a bit more robust than the extension cord covers, but not by much and I am not overly impressed by the hinges which are simply formed by bending the plastic. You need to be careful when inserting cables and leads as the waterproofing grommets are not fixed in position and do move. I noticed that when I closed it once, a small gap had appeared at the side of a grommet, so I had to reposition it to make it a better seal.I found the plastic clips on the extension cords covers to be very thin and brittle – they are simply formed by bending the plastic over to make the hinge. Really cheap. I also had nothing that would fit in these at all, so I don’t really know what use they are.I think the 4 extension cords covers are pretty useless (for me at least), and I think these bump the price up more than the main box is really worth. The plastic isn’t that strong and I have doubts over the continual use of the hinges which will weaken over time. All in all then, 3 stars for this outdoor electrical box. If you want frequent access to any cables inside it, then this box makes it easy. If you want a more permanent external box, then you can buy much better quality ones for around 1/3 of the price.
