It is a good-quality wire. I used it for a car audio system, and I am glad about the final sound effect. I highly recommend the item.

I normally order monoprice I wall wire but this was a better deal and also 16ga wire. This is what it is supposed to be: a good quality copper wire with a good strand count and is a legit 16ga. I recommend this for all speaker connections under 30ft or so with 8ohm speakers and 20ft or less for 4 ohm speakers. For longer runs I use 14ga wire. The white I wall wire is better looking and has twisted pairs so I use it for both inwall and normal connections

I play a lot of music – jazz, blues, soul, funk, R & B, folk, some rock, anything that features a kora, Bach and the baroque, whatever. I'm not an obsessive audiophile but I do like things to sound just so, even though this is sometimes complicated by the fact I've had tinnitus for decades and so require a high degree of acoustical clarity to be able to really hear things. My set-up is "affordable" – basic NAD amp and CD player, small Q Acoustics speakers – and until recently functioned reasonably well. And then, out of the blue, there was distortion, random but persistent. I duly restripped cable wires, swapped outputs, repositioned speakers and so on and so forth. No improvement resulted, and so I concluded my cables must be the problem. And thus it proved. I invested in these 15 metres of Javex wire and hey, everything sounds so very much cleaner and clearer and I'm even getting some bass and treble frequencies I wasn't before. (I'm of a certain age and so my hearing is anyway fallible: bottom and top sometimes elude me.) And nary a hint of distortion either. Furthermore, these cables are quickly trimmed given their sheathing is more or less rectangular rather than round, and their copper appears to be of a very decent quality. They also come wound on a helpful reel, which makes them so much easier to pay out and measure up. You can, of course, pay an awful lot more for this sort of thing but I'm now happily convinced you don't need to. This is a very good product offered at a very reasonable price.
