The lap desk works well for me. When I took it out of the package I was not that impressed. I thought it was a bit heavy and wasn’t sure I liked it. After using it for work today, I can say now that it’s not too heavy at all. I like that it keeps the heat off my lap, and that my computer doesn’t slide around. The slide-out mouse platform is awesome, and it really came in handy. I also like that it has a handle for carrying from room to room. Overall, it works great, and is very sturdy. The only thing I would maybe change would be to add a little cushioning on the bottom.

Nice product. It is exactly what I was looking for. The mouse pad is especially helpful. You won't go wrong with the product.

I have tried every style of lap desk to use while working laying down due to a very bad back. This is lightweight, doesn’t make the laptop sit too high off of my lap like others do that strains my shoulders and wrists, and makes using the mouse so much easier because it’s also at the perfect height. I use wrist pads for added support and this is much better than any other setup I’ve used. My 17 inch laptop is larger than the tray, but the grips hold it in place perfectly so it isn’t a problem at all. Great product for a good price.

I would definitely recommend this product if you are looking for an inexpensive lap desk. It fits my slightly oversized laptop (Lenovo Ideapad 5 Pro 16") very well. I monitored temperatures for about an hour of use and didn't notice any overheating from lack of airflow. The mouse pad can be adjusted for left or right-handed use. It works well but can bend downwards if you are heavy-handed with it. I found it works best if you slide it back inwards slightly. The rubber pads keep the laptop from sliding off when the desk is moved, but the mouse will slide off if you are not careful. I don't plan on traveling with it, but it would be much easier to pack than the cushioned lap desk I have.**Update**I have used this intermittently for two years now and it is still going strong. I'm glad to see it is still available because if something happened to this one I would feel I easily got my money's worth out of it and would gladly buy another.

I was in search of a lap desk to work while traveling. Initially, I purchased a different portable lap desk from Amazon, but unfortunately, it didn't accommodate my Dell Inspiron 5577 15". I returned it and decided to give this one a try, and I'm thrilled that I did! This lap desk has become one of my most valuable recent purchases. It has significantly improved my daily routine, allowing me to work comfortably not only at my desk but also in my cozy living room chair, which has been a game-changer for me. I can now work for extended hours without experiencing any back pain, and this has boosted my overall productivity. Additionally, the lap desk's sturdiness and high-quality construction give me confidence that it will last a long time. I highly recommend it to others.Just a quick heads-up: It may not be suitable for a 17" laptop, as my 15" bulky laptop is at its limit on this lap desk.

I recently purchased a gaming laptop that has a graphics card capable of running my CAD software. Problem is that the laptop runs hot - especially if it doesn't have sufficient ventilation. Being used on my lap, the ventilation vents on the bottom get covered by the fabric of my clothing - so hot laptop = hot lap. I just needed a hard surface to allow the laptop to breath. I purchased this lap desk for that purpose. I immediately noticed my legs weren't burning up anymore and the laptop was able to cool itself.As a bonus, the mouse tray is pretty sturdy even though I don't use a mouse. It is a single piece internally the width of the desk that can slide out on either side roughly 6-7 inches, so the fact that it is so long enables it to be nice and rigid when extended.

This product is great for what it is. Typically Amazon listing claiming this will work for 17" laptops is not true. My 16" laptop just fits. The packaging list this to fit up to a 15" and Amazon titles this to fit a 17". DO NOT BUY if you have a 17". Lost two stars due to inaccuracies in title.
