Considering the cost of healthcare and the lack of places to go for help, I decided it was good idea to invest in a pair of gloves. I was in a HD store a couple of months ago, grabbed a piece of sheet metal and it just about sheared by finger off. Anyway, I spent a lot of time looking at gloves like this and reading comments. Not one glove, I could find where someone didn't complain about being able to cut thru easily. I don't think these are cut proof either. I immediately tried a kitchen knife and razor blade roller blade and with slight to moderate pressure they didn't make a mark. I'm sure though with the right pressure and angle I could cut thru so as they say with all these types of products you need to care and not get complacent. I wasn't sure about the coating but I kinda of like the idea. When you're preparing food like chicken you need to wash your hands frequently to avoid spreading bacteria. When washing with these gloves on, I feel it's probably more safe with the coating, than with not but that's just my uniformed opinion. You can also wear food gloves over these I guess. What you get is two gloves, left and right. They can be worn on either hand if you don't care about the coating. Personally, I hand wash with anti-bac soap and drip dry. As for sizing, who knows. According to the hand chart, my hand size is medium but the 'small' fit me perfectly. The fabric seems to be tight; no loose threads and sewn well. As for sheet metal work, I don't know which is why I don't give it 5 stars. Still looking for cut proof.Update: After having these only a few weeks, a hole appeared in the wrist. From what I'm not sure but I suspect it was from pulling the glove on, though I don't think that should happened. I still like these gloves though so I returned the originals and I've ordered a larger pair so we'll see.
