8x40 Mariner Binocular

Great binoculars for both daytime hikes, as well as nighttime star gazing. I was able to make out details of the moon, and see what seemed to be millions more stars in the sky at night. for those just getting into star gazing, this is a good way to start. i love these binoculars, and they come with a nice bag, a strap, lens wipe, and warranty (and probably a few other accessories I have not used yet).

I bought this binocular based on a recommendation of Space.com, rating it #1 among light-weight star-gazing binoculars. This is my first pair of binoculars, and I am new to star-gazing. I admit I'm not young anymore, but I could not hold these binoculars steady enough to see stars. Oberwerk graciously allowed me to return them. I will get a telescope instead.The quality did seem high. I just couldn't hold them steady enough to see a steady image of a star.
