The Diary of Anne Frank (Acting Edition for Theater Productions)

I purchased the Albert Hackett and Francis Goodrich version of this play in great condition, and I read it over and over again since I received it. Albert Hackett and Francis Goodrich had done a great job of writing the best Broadway play in history, and it is very well written, but sad at the same time.

Loved it!! All people and student should read it. Her life in the attic and camp she let want people to know. She wanted people to remember they were people who had name and the things they went though. This is a GREAT BOOK!!! She wanted us to remember and she achieved that. .If you like book that are plays this book is for you.

Shipment was too fast to mention and in pristine condition. The version was the newest from Samuel French and everything was intact inside without any markings. Unbelieveable. What more could one ask for. The story remains the same and I am thrilled to have it so soon.

I was looking for the play, so I chose the "entertainment" option. Also present in the box were "novel", "history" and a number of other options. It's a little confusing to navigate at first, but the more you use Amazon the better you'll understand how it works.

This edition was very well done, and I applaud the efforts of the Ms. Kesselman to use the most powerful parts of Anne's diary to stay truthful to the story. However, as a HS theatre director, this is not one that I could use in my class without pause. It uses some sexually charged passages from Anne's diary, making it a little awkward to tell this heart-rending story on a HS stage. I think I will go back to the previous version for my students.

I used this play script for teaching a class on the Diary of Anne Frank. We also read the play in class so the students would get a complete understanding of what was happening in the world during the writing of this play.

Received this today, June 10,2018. The yellow cover picture is not accurate. This is blue cover and definitive edition 2016. Bought this per teacher’s instructions for a 6th grade play.

It was not what I expected, not readable a waste of money

My other half really love the diary it is a good open honest view on her times during the wars i found it too make me think my life is not so bad compared too hers she is very brave and it is a must read. For the millions moved by Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl, here at last is Miep Geis's own astonishing story. For more than two years, Miep Gies and her husband helped hide the Franks from the Nazis. Like thousands of unsung heroes of the Holocaust, they risked their lives each day to bring food, news, and emotional support to the victims.

I used it as a comparison with the first dramatization which proved to be very useful
