Studio Background Backlight Stand

The little stand is cheap but pretty sturdy except for where the tip/post is pressed into the top. As soon as I mounted a strobe on it (750ws Calumet mono) it started pulling out of the black riser tube. I fixed it by drilling and tapping two offsetting screws through the riser and into the aluminum post. Now all is good.

Is this a cheaper stand, yes. It's by no means a higher end name brand but it also doesn't carry the same price tag. For the price, it's sturdy enough and serves it's purpose well. Awesome for the photographer getting started on a budget and will last if you take care of it.

These are great little stands. I use them for side lighting, table top lighting and other stuff where a large light won't fit. I like the threaded top. It's great for using with the 3 speedlight holders.

I've been looking for a little stand not alot of place carry them any more. This is great for a little kicker light.

Well built and does what it's supposed to due for a reasonable price.

Can also be used for low light in a butterfly setup. Very nice little stand
