Wrong power supply for the water pump
No problems getting everything snapped together. Well thought out design and goes together well. The power supply for the water pump, however, has 2 male connectors. Contacted Customer Support at the number on their website and was told to send an email detailing my issue. Waiting for a reply now.

I'm pleased on all levels.
I really love this Aeroponics system! My wife and I have been thinking about getting some sort of hydroponics system for two or three years. We got the Hydroponic Garden Tower Aeroponics system, which has 48 holes with baskets you can put all kinds of stuff in to grow--lettuce, spinach, herbs, etc. Favorite so far: spring onions. We just used the ones you get from the grocery store and after using most of the plant in a salad, we put the bulb part (maybe 3 inches of it) into some of the plant baskets and they're growing like crazy. Not sure, but we may never need to buy them from the store again--just harvest the new growth every couple of weeks! The aeroponics part is really cool because your plants don't sit in standing water like with some other setups. The plants really benefit from having plenty of oxygen on their roots. The system does spray the roots with water at a timed interval you specify. We learned, to my pleasure, that the sprayers are plenty strong and we only have to spray for a few seconds every 8 minutes (we could probably get away with going longer, but we want to make sure the roots don't dry out).Setup was very straightforward. The pieces all fit together easily (we had our 10-year-old help), and the only trouble I ran into was due to me not reading the instructions (for example, I wasn't sure which hole on the pump was In (it's the left side) and which was Out (it's the right side) and I reversed them initially. The pump is designed to hold the tubes very securely once attached, so don't do like I did!We learned that there are all kinds of nutrients you can get with different levels of Nitrogen, etc. We just stuck with one from a major brand that's a single liquid mixture. We got a few things to help us keep the water at ideal levels for the plants: a turkey baster (to easily extract water from the system so I can test it daily), a digital pH meter and digital TDS meter (less than $20 each on Amazon), some food-grade 3% hydrogen peroxide (not necessary, but I just put a few teaspoons in the water every few days because it's supposedly good for the plants), and some pH Up and pH Down liquid to raise or lower the pH of the water as needed. All of this stuff is inexpensive on Amazon. Based on what I've read, I'm keeping the pH levels as close to 6 as possible and the PPM (Parts Per Million--helps you know how much nutrients are available to the plants) between 700 and 800. I guess different plants like different amounts depending on the plant type and the stage of growth, but I like to keep things simple and this is working for me.If I have one regret, it's that I didn't get the model with the grow lights included. I frankly didn't think far enough ahead on this, thinking we'd put the unit near our sliding glass door to get light. But if you get their grow light option, you can put the unit anywhere and make sure it's getting the kind of light it needs.Overall, I'm very happy with this model! My hat's off to Nutraponics and their excellent design.

Pump fittings leaking out of the box
My box came in good shape, no external damage. The instructions need improving but was able to figure out assembly well enough. The pump is quiet but, it is not priming. I discovered the fittings were leaking, that is most likely why. Odd thing is, those pipes were preinstalled by manufacturer and I do not see why they would leak other than inferior quality. They are quick connect style and are fully seated. As a consumer anxious to try this, I am not pleased so far. Hopefully the manufacturer will have a reasonable solution.Given the other negative comments on pump related perfromance issues, leaks and lack of pressure output with clean water, I cannot imagine how it would hold up once organic matter begins to play.

Frustrating and extremely disapponting
I so wanted this to work! It all started at Christmas when my son gave me a Aerogarden table top hydroponics system and I fell in lovei so I thought I would go bigger. I mean, if the Aerogarden one worked so well, this one would too, right? Wrong! First, the assembly instructions are...basic at best. Next, the exterior pump is LOUD! The tubes shake like crazy and rattles and shakes the tower like a California earthquake. I called customer service who told me I must have set it up incorrectly and sent me some "how to" videos which was good; if I had had the submersible pump, but I had told them I have the model with the external pump and sprays rather than submersible with drip from the top After some back and forth emails, they finally sent me a video of someone assembling the tower with the external pump and spray heads....but still it shook the tower like crazy and squealed when it ran. Customer service sent me another pump but still...same result. Rattles like mad and is loud. I was told that maybe I didn't have enough water in the tank. I filled it to the rim and that didn't solve it. In fact, the more water, the more the tower shakes. One of the spray heads even blew out, but somehow I put it back together. I have asked customer service for a new spray head and was told they would send one to me once they came in but I am still waiting for one to be sent to me. I inquired about getting the irrigation kit version with the submersible pump and drip rather than the spay to see if that works better but the inquiry fell on deaf ears. Ultimately, according to customer service, I set it up wrong which is why the pump rattles and shakes. Maybe that is so, but I am at a loss for how to make it stop so I am just living with it.Also, as someone mentioned, refilling the tank, adding nutrients and ph balancing liquid is HARD, especially if you have the grow lights on it like I do. I agree with the review that said this is a bad design oversight. Also, the lights hang so low they don't get the top row of pods so it is difficult getting plants started from the top.It has been extremely difficult and frustrating getting this going but I'm not giving up just yet. I mean, I threw down almost $600 for this so come hell or high water I am determined to make it work!!! That being said, buyer beware...it is not as easy as advertised.

bought 2 of them 1 with light 1 with out the one with the light was broken
The one that came not broken seems to work good... the other one that came the bottom that holds the water was broken. The box was also in terrible shape and it was the post office who delivered it...so i sent that one back...I have a extra high end grow light i'll use the one working once my seeds come...Over all it looks pretty good if your items come unbroken...But that's more due to who was handing the item when its shipped...I prefer Fed x over ups Oddly Their is no Ups in this area and it was the US mail who dropped the items off on the porch... If it was not for the broken one that came i would probably Give this a 5 star...
