And I have tried plenty. But, read to the end. It is a very fine strainer that is extremely easy to dump and rinse. And it never gets to feeling slimy like the silicone strainers do. My sink stays cleaner under it too. The little lid that comes with it is cute and sits firmly in place BUT, it will not hold water to fill the sink. I use a large silicone round that covers the whole bottom of the sink when I want to fill my sink. Nothing disturbs it like other things I've used. It goes right over my new strainer.

I've been using this type of strainer for a few years now and I love them. They look nice and keep the pieces of food, etc. from going down the drain better than the strainers that come with the sinks. Now....I very rarely ever need to fill my sink up, but these "covers" work well enough to use if I do have to hold water in my sink for a small amount of time. It does allow the water to drain out, but very SLOWLY, so I'm happy with it.

I am so glad I found this item in Amazon. Sometimes I am afraid to buy stuff because you can end up with junk. Not with this strainer, this is the best one and my second one I bought. My first one I bought at my local supermarket and I didn't like it because the mesh part was wiry and some would stick out and I get pinched. It caused some rust stains in the sink hole It did collect food but when you empty it you'd still see all the mushy debris stuck to it at the bottom of the mesh. Was hard to wash it off too. Sorry long story on my old strainer, but this new one here is the best of all. It fits well in kitchen sink drain hole, and it's not made with wiry mesh. It has smooth stainless steel I don't have to worry about getting pinched. and it's so easy to clean. It collect the food debris well and it empties well. I love the lid that goes with it, You put it on the strainer and you can fill up your sink with water and it holds the water in sink very well. I would recommend this item for sure. Thanks to the company who made it.

This did add a shiny 'new' element to my sink area and prevent food particles from going into the drain. the blue cover slowed down water drainage but did stop the water from draining out of the sink when I have just a few dishes to wash that I don't put into the dishwasher. Overall, I'm happy with the shinier appearance, but I still have to use the old screw in drain stopper when washing dishes. This will not fit over it.

These looked extremely nice and that's all they were worth. The first thing I noticed was the water gradually leaks out. The second thing I noticed was how the mesh area gets gunked up with very tiny things.

I so far will say these are awesome for me, they fit perfect & nothing goes under rims. I like these a lot.

Love how it fits perfectly in my sink and so easy to dump out without my fingers touching any yucky stuff!
