My last laptop is ten years old, slow, and heavy, and I still use it.Enter the kid.This laptop is headlined as a "GAMING LAPTOP " Its cpu is the latest i7, it has Nvidia RTX 3080 GRAPHIC card with 8Gb video memory, along with 16Gb computer memory, and 1tb ssd. This has the 15.3 screen.Cost was£1900.MSI, the makers, have a good name with computer laptops and motherboards.First impressions, it's lighter then a bag of sugar, until you handle the power brick, this is not much smaller then a house brick and it gets hot in use. The laptop is very neat, with mat dark grey brushed metal lid, plastic sides and rear, underneath is plastic with vents all over the under side , this allows you to clearly see the innards, and the cooling fan's.Inputs are the usual, headphones, 3 USB, power socket, hdmi socket micro display socket.All topped of with Windows 10, 64bitOS, with upgrade to Win 11 offered.Well, the screen is very clear and colourful, it's to small, that's my bad, I just didn't think that there would be such a difference with my old 18inch screen on my old laptop.But the hdmi socket allows me to use my big screen at home.And as for gaming, forget it, this laptop screen is just too small.The next minus point is the heat generated by my elfin laptop is very high, with the two fan's coming on within 15 20 minutes of turning on.I've ordered a fan cooling base, just to ovoid any overheating issues which might accur in summer.Now the good, nay great news, this machine is absolutely rapid, both in boot up, and running demanding graphics software, it's makes it such a pleasure to use, and its not crashed once.The battery obviously cannot power for long with this much demand for power, the components demand such a lot, 3 to 4 hours at most is all you get.So then, I love it, I would prefer a bigger screen, but it's worth 4 and a bit stars.

The media could not be loaded.  Bought more for 3D design than gaming, but the graphics card is excellent. Battery life is appalling and the power brick could be used to build houses so if you want it on your lap or on battery, this probably isn't for you. Gets very hot when running the GPU at high speeds so be careful.Notwithstanding, I bought it for a specific purpose and it does exactly what I wanted it to so I'm happy.Mouse and mouse mat in picture are not included.
