I bought this to replace a cracked skylight (a MUCH darker tint) over my RV shower. I was really afraid this lighter tint would cause heat to build up in the RV bathroom. A couple of days after installing it, we drove our RV from North Carolina to Texas for the total eclipse and there was absolutely no additional heat from the skylight! In fact, the lighter tint makes the room so much more bright and pleasant than the old, dark, drab one we replaced. I highly recommend this lighter tint ….. I was so skeptical at first, but we made the right decision. The shipping was fast and the quality is top notch! Thanks!!!

Replaced OEM skylight that had become brittle and yellowed. Sealed old holes in the roof and pre applied sealant to the flange. Stainless Steel screws were used screw into roof. Sealed perfectly. With the self leveling outer sealant applied this should be air and water tight for years to come.

I replaced my old outter shower skylight with this one and luckily two of the screw holes lined up to position the skylight exactly where it was needed. Then I was able to drill the rest of the new holes to fasten the skylight to the roof. I used self leveling EPDM rubber to fill the old screw holes and Butyl rubber tape on the edge of the skylight to seal the skylight to the roof then used EPDM self levelling sealant to seal the outter edge and screw heads. This worked great and the skylight looks and works great.

The old skylight was cracked! That's never happened before - right? Who needs a skylight in a shower anyway? Not I!! The last 2 RVs we've owned, I had to replace the shower skylights. Excellent product to replace the 4 year old skylight. Highly recommend.
