At 10% the cost of an actual Herman Miller I can’t find a flaw. I’ve always wanted this chair but don’t make enough to justify 6 grand. I went over all the components with a fine tooth comb and could not find any real defects. While assembling it was clear that the quality control was not perfect. Some of the holes are off just a hair which made getting the bolts started a little difficult. Take your time and get every bolt started before tightening them down and you won’t have any issues. I was able to assemble the entire thing myself with the exception of the back. That required an extra hand to hold it in place while I started the bolts. My 8 year old was able to handle it so it wasn’t too difficult. The assembly instructions seem out of order however. I recommend getting the seat attached to the base before attaching the armrests and back. My only real complaint is the crappy snap ring pliers they supply. You have to put one external snap ring on to attach the base of the chair. The pliers supplied didn’t open evenly twisting the snap ring and making it almost impossible to install. Luckily I owned a better tool. Other than that this chair is well worth the money. The wood is beautiful and the leather of much higher quality than I expected. Highly recommend.

I really wanted to love this chair. It looks great, seems high quality, but its just not comfortable. I bought it for comfort and I don't know if its the proportions they got wrong or what, but I'm 5'7" and the upper cushion sits on my shoulder blades, leaving nowhere to rest my head. I have to scoot down to get any neck support, and then my bottom has to slide forward, leaving a gap between my lower back and the chair. Yes, I can add pillows to make it a little better, but other chairs of this style that I've sat in have been comfortable without any modifications. Hope this helps!

This product met my expectations. Of all of the chairs I researched in this category this one is the best value.

Seller promptly provided tracking numbers for the two separate items. Arrived on time in good condition, obvious care was taken in packaging to make sure things would not be damaged en route. Assembly was not bad, but the experience others have had is consistent with mine. Some holes are slightly undersized so it can be tricky getting the bolts to start threading. Also, the conical plastic spacer for the base of the chair was a bit oversized on my unit. I had to remove some excess plastic with a utility knife and use some extra force to get it to fit flush with the base. The included tools were adequate to assemble the chair and a nice inclusion. Both the chair and ottoman feel very sturdy once assembled and I am happy with the quality of the leather for the price. This is a great option if you want a classic mid-century modern lounger and don't want to spend used car money for an original.

It says “genuine leather” but feels and smells synthetic. Perhaps it’s the treatment. Resembles car interior rather than quality furniture. The bottom is also flawed with a milky finish. Not worth the $40 to return and disassemble. Definitely disappointed as was hoping the leather would be soft and buttery like the real chairs.

Seller was a great communicator. Product arrived in two shipments and included all items necessary to put it together including the special tool needed for just one part. It’s sturdy, well built with real leather and looks fabulous. Well worth it!
