Beautiful cookbook adventure written in beautiful, legible French cursive
This cookbook has many recipes from Provence which will transport you away if you make them. Actually, just reading them will help transport you. If you have a garden overflowing with zucchini, you will find all the recipes you ever need here. If you are wondering how to make your own apertifis from cherries and brandy, she will show you how and then some. She has unusual recipes for French jams such as melon jam and quince jelly and quince paste. She also has the show stoppers like le Grand Aioli, La Bouillabaisse, Brinadade, Anchoide, etc. It is somewhat lacking in instructions as it does not appear to have been proofread, and occasionally cooking times, temperatures, and quantities are overlooked. If you are an experienced chef who does a pinch of this and a pinch of that, you will enjoy this book. It is not for the beginner . . . or perhaps it will teach you how to cook as we mature hens do, and make dishes that are so good your husband will go to bed without his pajamas even if he is 50 or more. Need I say more. Buy this book and get one for all the ladies in your family.
