Former President meets his Gal Friday
A collection of short stories meant to carry you away to a world of the rich and famous. Light hearted intrigue, romance with just a touch of mystery, perfect reading when you are Inbetween novels. Reminiscent of the old Nick & Nora Charles stories, but set in modern day. Now we know what a young newly retired former President of the U.S.A. does with his time, albeit with a little bit of help from his former cabinet, CIA, Secret Service and his Gal Sunday. Amazing how quickly you get results with some added clout.

Great read
She never disappoints, keeps you in suspense, love all her books. Looking forward to her next book. I have read a number of her books and starting another.

It's several stories instead of one book
I liked this format because it was easy to read on a trip with each story concluding fairly quick. It was a change from the usual so it was fun. I had no idea when I bought it that is was a series of stories!

Not what I expected
I should have read the info first because I was disappointed it was a series of short stories, not Mary Higgins Clark's usual storytelling fare. I was disappointed in the writing skill and felt it didn't meet my expectations of a novel of her caliber. One of her fortes is being able to vividly describe people and situations. Perhaps the short format curtailed her somewhat from accomplishing this goal, although I have seen others with such ability in the same format. Needless to stay, I am still a fan but will not purchase another short story from the Queen of Suspense.

Each chapter was like a short story
Each chapter was like a short story. What escapades by this former President and his gorgeous Congresswoman wife..... they are super sleuths .... unreal actually but I enjoyed each one of the happily ever after the dirty deeds while they solved problems and found solutions for everyone ... in the midst of the danger, I would hold my breath and sigh the relief when they figured out the mystery...... Fun reading if you like clean mysteries.

Every day a Sunday
I recently watched the made for tv mystery movie on the Hallmark channel based on this book. I bought the book after watching the movie which was practically nothing like the book. Don't get me wrong, the movie was ok, but having read the book I wish the movie could have stayed truer to the story plot(s). Sigh. Isn't that always the case in Hollywood?

My Gal Sunday
When I began reading the book, little did I know that it would be several stories in one. What a pleasant surprise I had when they were about the same couple each time. I loved each one of them and wouldn't mind more stories like this of different characters being in s separate but continuing stories in one book. Very clever. I read all of Ms. Higgins clarks book. Can't get enough. Rena diamond.

One Big Disappointment!
This book needs to be proofread; it is filled with incorrect usage throughout, which is unconscionable in a MHC book."My Gal Sunday" was a great disappointment. It didn't seem to be written by MHC herself. It lacked originality, suspense, and style. It abruptly moved from one part of the story to another without proper transitions. It is a group of silly short stories whose characters lack dimension. In truth, I could not wait to finish the book. I was so bored with it.I do not recommend this book. It is a big waste of time.Amazon Verified Purchase.

Great short stories
I have read all of Mary Higgins Clark's books, well I thought I had until I came across this. At first I thought it was going to be about her life story but how mistaken was I. The stories were great as usual. Brilliant suspense authore

Razoável
Amo Mary Higgins Clark, mas esse livro não é dos melhores que ela já escreveu, talvez pelo fato de serem contos não me entusiasmou. Ela é muito melhor que isso.

Sugary sweet
Too sugary sweet. Almost like a Mills and Boon meant for 14 year olds.

Four Stars
Good, but did not realise it was a book of short stories.
